My Arabian'S Night Experience

I heard about that show a few years ago, and I was told the same thing.

Is that the one with the Dolly Parton theme?
Shame my dd loves horses and we did the Mideveil nights and Totally LOVED it. It was two years ago and no limit on the beer and soda.
The food was good, fun eating with the fingers.

But the jousting and story line with the knights you cheer for, and they threw some roses to fair maidins in the audiance...namely my dd's got them too.

The beautiful show that was put on, the meet and greet with pictures afterwards was great. I got Internet sale price from the store across the street. Get there early and tour the village, we did not have the time.

But search for the best ticket prices, don;t pay door price.
They have several around and I would take dd to the one in NJ if I knew it was as good.

PP, I think you may be combining a few dinner shows into 1.
There are/were 3 in Orlando that are all similar, with horses and stuff.

1. Mideval Times - Good show, good food. They have 5 or 6 all over the country.
2. Arabian Nights - Never been, but I have yet to hear anything good about this one.
3. Dixie Stampede - This was the one owned by Dolly Parton, but it very suddenly closed a few months ago. I know there was at least one other location in TN, but I'm not sure of the status of that one.

Just wondering what your reasons are? I haven't seen it but others have said they liked it. Was it the show itself or the fact that your family didn't like it? Your children look young so was it because of their ages? Back in august we took the kids to see La Nouba at DTD and we all LOVED it! But my kids were 9 & 14 and we wanted to wait until we knew they would like it as the tickets are quite pricey.

Sorry that you didn't like your show tho...

I am also curious to why you didn't like it. I have never been to one of those (we always eat on WDW property).

We have gone 2 times when we go on our wdw vacations and we love it we are actually planning to go back this year:woohoo: ...tickets are expensive though so we searched for the best prices on line..

I'm confused by the OPs post too. The pictures don't look like the family's having a bad time.

I've done Mideval Times and thought it was entertaining.

I would like more details from the OP and others as well. I am planning to attend Arabian Nights in April with my two nieces - ages 17 and 14. We went to Dixie Stampede two years ago and they liked it very much. Me...not so much, but oh well.

I have also done the Medieval Times show in South Carolina and wasn't too impressed.

Both girls love horses and are very much looking forward to this show. We are also planning to do Hoop De Doo.

Any insight will be appreciated!

I went to the Arabian Nights last year and while the show was ...just alright, the food was the worst I have ever had. We had the steak dinner and the steak was so tough you could not eat it. We sat next to the rudest group of people as well which did not make the experience any more pleasant. The horses were beautiful and talented but other than that it was a waste of time and money and you can plan on eating elsewhere later that evening.....

JESW-Well the kids being picky eaters and young kids did not like the food. None of us however liked the show. The horses are pretty neat, but the story line and some of the characters were kind of cheesy and weird. And it wasn't worth the pay. But i guess to each their own!

Disneychix-My family simple posed the pictures honestly just to be nice. Perhaps Midevil Times was good but this most certainly was not in my family's oppinion.

Judylady- Personally I would not waist money nor time on that show. The food was aweful and the story was corny. The best part is simple spending time with your family.

We thought the storyline was really weird. They advertise over 60 horses, but I estimate that they had about 12. We did not like it at all. The food was really bad, I had the New York Strip Steak and it was not good at all, along with the completely melted dish of ice cream for dessert. It was expensive and we will never return. Our ages ranged from 13 to 65+ and we thought it was a waste of time on our vacation. We much prefer the Hoop De Doo Revue. :)

Arabian Nights is not the Dolly Parton one.

The Dolly Parton one is Dixie Stampede.

My MIL forced all of us to go to Dixie Stampede. While I thought the show was kind of lame (though my DD's 5 & 6 loved it), the food was actually quite good. Chicken was nice and juicy and seasoned well.

Thanks all for the advice.

Perhaps we could try one of the local Japenese steak houses instead. I don't think the girls have ever been to a Benihana, etc.
