We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary at Universal. Had lots of fun. Other than the fact that I came down with Bronchitits and was out of work for 3 days after the trip!! LOL!!

Day 1- January 31st- This was our anniversary. We arrived the night before. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn on Jamaican court. I would highly reccommend this hotel. Doesn't have alot in the way of frills, but it is VERY close to Universal. I would say 5 minutes max. Stopped at the 7-11 on I-Drive to get breakfast. We left the hotel at 7:45 a.m. After we got our breakfast were were at the parks in no time.

Because of a pulled muscle in my foot I had to use a scooter. I rented one from Walker Mobility. Great company. They had it waiting in the room for us. Note: If you stay at this hotel and have a scooter delivered they will give you a king size bed.

We arrived at Universal at 8:05 a.m. We have a 2 park annual pass so oyr parking was free. They asked us if we wanted to upgrade the parking to preferred. I was going to say no until they told us it was only $3!!! Of course we took it.

Hubby out the scooter together in about 5 minutes. Off to the parks. It was very cold!! I had pants and a jacket on!! We arrived at the entrance at about 8:30 a.m. We decided to do Universal today. I love the people at the front gate. They are very funny. They were making people that had Mickey or any other Disney character on it cover them up!!

We grabbed a map. Off to the rides. First up was Back to the Future. Don't ask me why we did that first thing. Maybe because it was not at all crowded and it was on our way to MIB!!

Virtually no wait for BTTF. We were on the ride in 5 minutes. Off to MIB. Very little wait. However, there was no one waiting and the people about 10 ahead of us were stopped to watch the guy tell what it was about. Don't get me wrong I liked it the first time I saw it but there was also a line then. I was getting more than a little annoyed. Finally we move to the line. Because I am in a scooter we had to take the elevator down. I parked the scooter and we waited behind the yellow line. No major problem.

All in all there were minimal waits for everything all day long. The parks closed at 6 that night so we stayed until then. Oh, my son wona HUGE Sponge Bob. We are talking this thing took up the entire back seat of our car behind my husband. He won it at the ring toss.

Walked to the car to deposit the prize. Walked back to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner.

No wait here.

Dinner was great! The waiter asked if we wanted dessert. I was so stuffed that I couldn't eat any dessert. However, unknown to me my Husband had written a note on a napkin to our waitress letting her know it was out anniversary. Well, the marched us to the front of the restaurant. They announced that it was our anniversary. When everyone said Happy anniversary I smooshed the whipped cream in his face.

All in all it was a great day!!
