Ok, I know that this is just another of a million "please review my ADR's" threads, but I've been elected the trip planner, so I want to get this right. So, as far as the ADR's as they are now, here goes.

30 Sept - Tony's Town Square
1 Oct - Coral Reef
2 Oct - Rainforest Cafe
3 Oct - Mama Melrose's
4 Oct - Teppanyaki
5 Oct - Chef's de France
6 Oct - Le Cellier

Ok, here is where I am having some problems. I wanted to have at least one TS meal in each park, hence the ADR's for Rainforest Cafe and Mama Melrose's. We are on the dinning plan, and since Rainforest Cafe will be an OOP meal, my question is, what should I do with those extra credits? I'm basically looking at two options:

-Use my extra TS credits for a lunch on one of the days. Any suggestions? I was particularly interested in Kona Cafe, but it did not make the final cut here.

-Or, I could use that extra TS credit for a meal at The Brown Derby, which requires two credits. However, I suppose my question here is: is the Brown Derby really worth the 2 TS credits? I've never eaten there, but I have looked over the menu, and though it does look good, I am not sure if it looks THAT good, but of course, you cant judge a good meal by a menu.

Any help, tips, suggestions, reviews, would be greatly appreciated.

I think your ADR's look great!! We are eating at alot of the same places, like Coral Reef, Tony's, Le Cellier (my favorite!!!), and Mama Melrose. I've been to all of these places except Coral Reef, I liked them all!!!!

As far as your extra credits- Why don't you try a dinner show like Spirit of Aloha or Hoop De Do Revue? I've been to the Spirit of Aloha show and its alot of fun- it is about 2-2 1/2 hours though, so you'd had to plan for that. I've never tried Brown Derby personally- I've heard mixed reviews about it. If I had an extra couple credits, I think I would try Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I've heard this place is excellent. Just a suggestion.

I hope you have a wonderful trip, whatever you decide!!!!

We did the Rainforest in DTD in 1996, a while ago, true...I wouldn't eat there again. I'd try Tusker House or Flame Tree BBQ at AK. Neither is TS, though. Mama's was good in 1996, not so in 1997 (and that was with the Honeymoon goggles on). I'd drop both of them, and consider Flying Fish (BW), Ca Grille (CR), or YachtsMan's Steakhouse (YC). Not park-based, I know, but consistently some of our best meal locations.

I'm with the poster above.. drop Rainforest .. and have counter service at AKL. Then that night, have a wonderful dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish or Jiko.

Another suggestion .. you have 3 meals in Epcot... what about one of those nights walking over to the Boardwalk and eating at Spoodles, Cape May or one of the other places? I'd drop Teppanyaki. There are better Japanese steakhouses in Anytown, USA.

The resorts are so much fun to visit and a nice escape from the parks. :)

Your reservations look super good to me. However, you might want to change your reservation in the Studios to the Brown Derby.

Enjoy.

How about using your extra TS credit for an early in-park breakfast like CP or Donald's @ AK. I'm always so jealous of those folks walking past me in line for rope drop to go in to an empty park.
Also, we love Ohana's character breakfast for our last day before we go home. We love the family style food and Stitch and Mickey in the same place :goodvibes

Hey guys, thanks a lot for all the great suggestions, now I'm having a difficult time narrowing all my options down. However, I am think I will definatly drop Rainforest Cafe and just eat CS while at AK. Perhaps I will use the two TS credits for dinner at California Grill. I had almost completely forgotten about that place, but all the options look so tempting...

My advice would be to skip Tony's (we tried it twice and really didn't care for it at all). For a MK ts restaurant I would go with Liberty Tree Tavern.

For your extra table service credit I would add a character breakfast such as Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare or you could do the Donald Breakfast the day you were at AK. Have fun choosing!

My advice is if you are excited to try these places then GO. Though I have found the advice on these boards extremely helpful in making decisions about dining, ultimately I had to pick places I thought my family and I would enjoy.

You'll notice that many restaurants will get completely different opinions. People will often take it VERY personally when someone insults their favorite place. We love Whispering Canyon, and many people hate it. But IMO it doesn't matter because it brings our family joy.

So I guess my point is (sometimes I wonder myself if I have one... ) you know your family best and what they like. Does that mean that EVERY choice will end up perfect...of course not...but then at least you'll know and if you're back again sometime, you'll try somewhere else.

Good Luck and have a GREAT time.
