My ADRs, am I in trouble?

Last night I stumbled upon a thread that mentioned Tusker House might become 2 credits. So I googled that and found a thread about a rumor that all character meals are going to be 2 credits come October. Does anyone know anything more yet? How much faith would you put in those rumors?

We are planning a trip for late January. Our 180 day came on Monday and I booked my ADRs. I thought they were perfect and was very excited until I saw this rumor.

Arrival day: 1900 Park Fare dinner
MK: BOG dinner
HS: Mama Melrose dinner
MK: Crystal Palace (PPO 8am), late BOG lunch
EP: Akershus (PPO 8am), San Angel dinner
AK: Tusker House dinner
Final day: open will do CS

As you can see we will be in a world of hurt if that rumor is true. Should I schedule back up meals? We have always done Disney on a budget and stayed off property and eaten on the cheap. This is our first time actually staying on property and getting the dining plan so we can enjoy the character meals and other restaurants. It is a big splurge and was supposed to make this trip extra special. I will be pretty bummed if it ends up changing, since that was the main point of getting the dining plan for us.

From what I remember, it was just a glitch in the booking system that caused this rumour. Tusker will still be one credit in January.

The dis talked about this on a recent podcast. They think the price may go up but it's going to stay one credit for now. It shows one credit on the 2017 dining plan brochure.

I think the thought is that if these go two credits, it will be for Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter meals, not daily.

As you said, it is an unsubstantiated rumor that was around for a few days. It was put to rest with the publishing of the 2017 DDP brochure where they are unchanged.
I wouldn't make additional "backup" ADR's, just in case. That is unfair to folks trying to get a first ADR, in my opinion.

Just wanted to add that the screenshots that started the rumons only showed lunch and dinner being 2 credits, breakfast was still 1 credit. But I agree the 2017 brochure makes it highly unlikely the current prices will change in near future.
