I hope you made it safely. I'm glad you had fun visiting your family before you had to go back to Orlando. Your mom's birthday cake looked delicious! Thanksgiving in June sounds pretty good too.

Good look with the Florida Dept. of Education! I took my PLT Saturday, and I think it went well. I was lucky because I didn't have to take the Content Knowledge exam you had. My content exam was just multiple choice. I hate the essay exams because it is so hard to pace yourself.

Anyhow, good luck with Florida and on your PI!

I have been following your reports. Just wanted to wish you a safe trip and good luck on your new adventure. You will do fine!

We will be in WDW for the first time in 11 years in Aug. Maybe we will see you at AK.

HI DIS!!!!

Well...

I'M IN DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!


It has been SUCH A LONG DAY!!! I'm so tired so I'm not sure how detailed I'll get before I crash listening to the crazy WDW countdown lady on the TV lol.

Lets see....

Last night I actually went to bed before 11 and fell asleep without any troubles. I woke up once at like 1:30 to use the potty but fell back asleep till my alarm "When You Wish Upon A Star" woke me up and I was wide awake. Right now I'm wishing I was not up at 4 and was still wishing haha.

We (mom dad bro and I) left at 4:45am. As suspected, our "short cut" was closed and it took us an hour to get to Pittsburgh Airport. We walked right up to the Delta computer check-in. I think ppl are afraid to use those bc the other lines for customer service people was HUGE. Anyways, both my bags were under 50lbs...well, I think they were. The man didn't really weigh them all that long lol.

After that and a potty stop, we headed towards security. As always security was backed to the high heavens but we were directed to an alterna. security area which still took about a 1/2 hour. At that point I had to kiss goodbye to my family. Mom of course was bawling as usual (she ended up doing the same last night). I kept composure for the most part and I'm kinda getting a tad depressed now sitting in my hotel room alone...

After security, I made a pit stop for McD's breakfast and a pack of gum in a shop. A 1/2 hour later we were boarding the plane and headed towards Atlanta..on time

We made it to Atlanta and I went to get a drink at BK and sat for about an hour at the gate. We were about 20 mins late leaving ATL but got in 20 mins early..amazing what airplanes can do!

I got my luggage. The first 6 bags to come out were 2 of mine I got my bags and met my driver and he took me to my aunt/uncles house where I got my car. It started fine and after some adjusting of bags and boxes I got everything settled and headed up to Orlando. 1.5 hours later I made it to my hotel (A Marriott off property). 1/2 of me felt like I had never left and 1/2 of me felt like I was on vacation but wondered where my fam was!

I checked in and got my room key..which has Toy Story Mania on it (pic to come). I took a dip in the pool and hot tub. Around 4:30 I got redressed and drove over to DTD to take some pics and walk around. My former CP roomie Shelley (whos going to be a PI manager at DTD stores) met up with me at DTD and we walked around. I then drove w/her to see her apt in Celebration (a VERY nice area that I would Love to live in). We then made plans to go to dinner and went to Don Pablos off of 192 (inbetween Sea World and Universal).

She then dropped me off and here I am!

I'm meeting the girls at 1 to check-in at our townhouse and the unpacking/shoppinig will begin. In Shelleys car today it said it was 98 outside...lets hope its cooler tmw lol.

I'll sleep in until 10am and maybe use the pool again (I am paying for it right?!) and shower again (I'm payin for it right?!) and then grab some lunch since check-out is at 12noon and then meet the girls at 1.

Well that is it for now. Depending on if our internet is already active tomorrow I'm not sure if I'll be able to post or not. Thanks for the warm wishes and prayers!!

Wow you have really had a long day today. Glad you got a chance to do a little bit of fun stuff, though. I love DTD almost as much as the parks. At least you can sleep in tomorrow.

That is so neat to see pictures of DTD from TODAY! Thanks sooo much for taking the time to share your experiences with us. I just read this whole thread today and subscribed! We will be in the World June 19-24, so please let me know if I can look you up! I'm a first grade teacher and I think this experience will be so valuable for you...how fun!

Welcome home!! I am so jealous of you being in Orlando already. It had to be wonderful to have friendly faces to see at DTD. That resort looks awesome too! I hope the arrival, shopping and unpacking goes well in the townhouse!
