As I sit here on Tuesday evening, I think back to my long 4 day weekend and all that I accomplished:
Saturday ~ Spent the day mowing the lawn, cleaning the deck and installing a flag pole for a cookout that night.
Sunday ~ Resting...ok, sleeping, from my hard days work on Saturday.
Monday ~ Cleaning and organizing the basement, a job that took all day
Tuesday ~ Continuing with the basement in the morning and Finally getting to the beach.

What was I thinking :confused3 . I should have been sleeping at the beach the whole weekend. Oh well, such as life right?

Oh, crap!!!! Now I feel like such a slug!!! I'm still in my jammies from this morning!! Oh, well. No sense in taking a shower now when I'm just getting up to take one before work in the morning, eh? :confused3 :rotfl:

Hey, at least I brushed my teeth!! (well, I have braces. It's mandatory...)

awwwwww, don't feel too bad. You still have your flaming head smilie :lmao:

Did you at least see some fireworks?

I saw the Osterville fireworks last night and I could hear and see some of the fireworks from Willowbend tonight :teeth:

The one thing about living on the Cape is we start to take things like the beach for granted and we don't get there too often.

I got up at 4:15am Sat to drive 6.5 hrs to my parent in VA with my DH and 2 kids. We got there at around noon and had lunch with my parents. We went shopping to two malls in the afternoon and went out to dinner. We had a dairy queen ice creams cake B-day party for my girls sat night.

Sunday morning we drove 20 minutes to Sandbridge beach and lazied on the beach all day. Back to parents and showered and napped end of the afternoon away. Grilled brats and burgers for dinner.

Up early Monday and headed to Busch Gardens at 8:45am - hour drive spent day there ending with fireworks at night. 110 degree heat index - man o man was it hot.

Tuesday AM packed left at 11:30am for our 7 hr drive home (stopped off for lunch in Ocean City, MD). I am exhausted and do not want to go to work tomorrow morning. 5am will be here before you know it.

I watched the Boston Pops on tv last night, but when I went to walk my dog, a feat in itself considering all the loud booms from the fireworks, I got to see some of the fireworks from Mashpee...at least I think it was Mashpee, I was facing that direction. I did get to the beach Tuesday afternoon though. I went to a bech on Ocean View Rd in Cotuit, straight down Main Street from Rte 28.

Hey Luv2nascar, taking into consideration all that driving you did, did you have a great time visiting the parents? I just remembered that I forgot to call my parents. Ooops. I'll give them a call tonight.

Well everyone, off to work. I'll try and get back in at lunch. Have a great day.

Really?! Wow...I'll have to look out for a lime green ribbon the next time I go.
