My 3 1/2 year old's heart tumor

My son is going into surgery on Feb 22 for a heart tumor. He will need to go on a by pass machine and I am scared to death! They said that the tumor would be rare to have cancer but it is right on his heart and is now restricting blood flow to hus heart. We went to disneyland on jan 20-jan 24th because he loves mickey mouse and anything disney and it was the most sad and most happiest time to see his smile. His is such a active, happy and funny boy! If everyone can say a little prayer or keep him in his thoughts on the day of his surgery it will help. I cant wait till he gets better and I take him again to disneyland. We have a disney cruise in may so I am hoping for a good recovery and tell you about the fun time he will have on the cruise. Thank you.

God Bless you and give you the strength to get throught this. We went through something similiar a few years back. The tumor wasn't cancerous, thank God. It is the unknown that is scary. Take one minute, one hour and one day at a time. You will get through and be stronger because of it.
Lean on family and friends and have a good cry if you need too....

Our cousins daughter had a rare tumor that was benign. It was attached to her lungs, esophagus, part of her heart and one other place. It was very scary but she had surgery to have it removed. She is doing fabulous now! I will pray for your little guy and and for you. I think it is harder on the parents than the kids.
