Ok..here we are, back from our trip to Disney World...thought I'd share my trip with ya'll! It was hands down, the best vacation ever, even though we hit a few snags...and all I can say is "I'm goin back!"
We left Saturday morning at 6am...right on time... woohoo! 7am..we had a blowout...had to wait for a tow-truck, buy 4 new tires and finally got back on the road again at noon... Whatta start! Lost all that time, so tonight's plans of checking out the hotel and maybe Downtown were shot! -Anyways, got in around 8 o'clock, and hit our pool at All Stars Music Resort. Our room was near the woods and a short distance from the Piano Pool... I thought it was great! Finally went to sleep around 11pm...
Sunday morning, Mickey gave us a wake-up call at 6am.. we wanted to catch the 1st bus to MAGIC KINGDOM at 7:15 cuz it was Early Entry ! - We got the bus, and driving over to Magic Kingdom was ....well, Magical
When the kids saw it (ok...we too!) our eyes just lit up! After a count down with the crowd of guests, we got in the gate and headed straight for Space Mountain!! We learned right off, this "Baby Swap" thing was too cool! We could all wait in line, Chris would ride with Rayden while I stayed with Kayleigh then when they got off, I'd go ride with Rayden... lucky her got 2 rides in a row on all the cool things! Poor Kayleigh wanted to ride so bad, but she was just too little 
- We waited about 5 minutes to get on ...and Rayden loved it! We decided to head right over to Dumbo and all the rides in Fantasy Land (hmm..that is FantasyLand..right??) - We rode teacups next, Winnie the Pooh ride, It's a Small World and then Dumbo... Yanno what's crazy?? Dumbo is the ride we waited the longest for...20 minutes tops!!! Everyone said how lucky we were, but we were cruizin'!!! -Anyhow, we did all we wanted to do by 2pm... mind you...didn't see it all in detail...didn't ride EVERYTHING, but alot...and we were happy! We decided to go check out EPCOT! - Ok...we were at EPCOT for about 2 hours... I'm sorry...I was bored to death!!! Hubby liked it, Rayden n Kayleigh were neutral... and it was eerie. That place looked like a shut down theme park - There was NO ONE around!! This is Sunday afternoon!! Where were the crowds ???? We finally found everyone over at Test Track...a 90 minute wait we didnt' feel like waiting for after being spoiled earlier with walk-on riding! - So we headed back over to Magic Kingdom..but decided to beat the crowds back to the hotel and miss the fireworks.Did you know Disney Guests are Wonderful People!! When we arrived back to our car at the hotel, my sliding van door was wide open.. had been all day! Ok...no one closed it for me, BUT, I had our DVD Player, TV, Movies and Alot of items in there... Not a 1 was missing!!! Made me smile that we were truly at a Magical Place!. Ok.. Ate dinner at the hotel, swam for awhile....back to bed about midnight!
Monday, Mickey woke our butts up again!! - Off to early entry at ANIMAL KINGDOM! We went straight for Kilimanjaro Safari... what a wonderful adventure! I think that was Kayleigh's highlight... she told everyone me met that she saw "Big G'raffes, Elephelants, and EVERYTHING!!" Then we went to Dinoland, rode Dinosaur (Cool Ride) and Primeval Whirl, what spins!!!! Did you know we were in at 8, and had the hardest time finding an open vendor for a drink til 10:30!!! Craziness!! I forgot to mention that Orlando should be renamed "Hell".. It was miserable hot!!!! - Although I would've liked to stay longer, we left AK at noon and rode over to MGM. (Sadly, within a couple hours after leaving AK, a giraffe was struck and killed by lightning while 3 buses looked on ) - Ok.. MGM was my favorite place our trip!! We went straight for Tower of Terror and Rockn RollerCoaster...turns out you can't hold a fastpass for both Whatta drag! We got one for TOT, went to eat lunch, got 1 for RRC, rode TOT (baby swapped again)... TOT, my fave ride!!!! then decided to go back to the hotel and shower before our fastpass time to RRC. - Ok..we're back, all clean n pretty (till ya sweat 3 minutes later) ride RRC ... THEN...Chris and Rayden ride it...again! So...I took Kaykay around, saw "A Man and His Dream", walked around the backlot some, let her play in the Honey I shrunk the Kids Set and then met the fam at the Sorcerers Hat so we could go to our dinner reservations at HollyWood&Vine. Finally some wholesome food...not hamburgers, again! LOL - We walked around for a little while, but then went over to our preferred seating for Fantasmic. What can I say...FANTASMIC, was AWESOME!! One of the highlights for Chris and I. Did I mention...that was our 8 yr anniversary - Ok...back to the hotel, 1 more swim...then off to bed.
Tuesday..we slept in , Nice! Hung out at the hotel, swam a little, then checked out at noon, went to grap some lunch at Olive Garden near DTD, then checked in to our new hotel, Coronado Springs. That place was beautiful!!! We had a nice room at 6A Ranchos, near the Dig Site Pool.. Nice! Amazing waterslide too! - That night we went to Downtown Disney to check out the sites and got to bed by 10:30 or 11:00.
Wednesday, Chris hung out at the hotel, his 'vacation time'... and I took the girls back to MGM. We (I) really wanted to see some shows!! First the girls and I went to Muppet Vision 3D... Rayden and Kayleigh really enjoyed that!! Then...we saw Voyage of the Little Mermaid... Then Playhouse Disney, which was too cute!! We met Lilo & Stitch...another highlight!!! Walked around more of MGM to see what was there. Still..my fave place of Disney! - We missed the parade the 1st day at MK, so we decided to head over there around noon. We rode the ferry boat, Kayleigh's 1st boat ride, and arrived at MK We were starved...so ate at Peco's Bills Cafe... then decided to watch The CountryBear Jamboree.. Pretty cute The audience loved it! Then we rode the Jungle Cruize. I guess it definilty Is a Small World After All, because I saw my old boss/friend and her daughter there in line!!! Rayden was tickled! While at MK, poor Kaykay kept saying "Am I big now?" Of course ya are I'd smile.. "Then I can ride Space Mountain!!" I felt soo bad for her..we heard that alot on the trip! - Went to wait on the curb for the parade, got some ice cream and watched. The girls were grinning from ear to ear...soo magical to see. At the very end of the parade, the rain started..and within a minute...DOWNPOUR!! We put on our little Disney Ponchos and went under an awning.. Finally...they were having fun in the rain as it was...so we decided to walk to our busstop in the rain. Took the bus back to CSR, and showered up for a trip to Fort Wilderness! Ate dinner there, and went to the campfire sing-a-long with Chip & Dale (the chipmunks silly!!) We made s'mores and Rayden played in the mud and rocks....she's cheaply entertained! We didn't stay for The Tigger Movie...we decided to go back and swim a little more...we had to leave tomorrow
Ok...Thursday morning...our trip comes to an end Rayden spilled about $20 worth of food n drinks (clutz stage) Kayleigh did excellent with her potty training..2 minor accidents, and we didn't want to leave! But...losing nearly $250 of your budget before ya even get out of Atlanta on your way doesn't help the scenario!! We pack up, and head home. Wave goodbye to Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto & the Disney Gang.... We'll be back next year!!
