My DW and I were really worried because my DD was going to miss 2 full weeks of school (First Grade) at the beginning of December and when we get back she will only have a couple days of school before the Christmas break, and when we told the teacher and the schools secretary, they told us to have a good time
She is, and I'm not bragging (well maybe a little!!) , the best reader in the class, so it does take the pressure off a bit. The teacher told us she would give us some things to have our DD to work on while we were gone. We are driving from Maine so she will have plenty of time do do it.
