My 1st ever PTR - Mickey here we come! Let the crafting begin!

60 days until we are Florida bound!!!:cool1:

I have been trying to buy the last of the items on my list. At Joann last week I found a Color Wonder paint, marker and crayon set in the clearance bins for $10. I was super excited because I had this on my list. I have also been cruising PINTEREST for ideas on easier travel with toddlers. One of my favorite tips this week has been to use a travel toothbrush holder for bendy straw storage! Brilliant! I am planning on bringing drinkable yogurts with us into the park and this will keep my straws from getting all cracked and broken.

I did have to trim my straws down a bit to make them fit into the holder. I bought my toothbrush holder at walmart for .97!

This week I sewed with cuddle and fleece for the 1st time. It was fairly simple possibly because of the size of the blanket I was making. I made a small blanket for P. One side is the super soft cuddle fabric and the other side is a fleece. I started by sewing right sides together just short of all the way around. I left a small spot to turn the blanket right side out . Once it was turned right side out I pressed it gently and sewed a top stitch all the way around. I am really happy with the way it came out. I think it will be perfect size to put in the bottom of the pack n play P will sleep in at his Gma's house.

Now for the best thing EVER this week!!!! I went by the thrift store on the Navy Base and found these!!!!

It is a twin sheet set and it was only $2!!!!!:cool1: I am not sure if I am going to use them on a bed or save them and make something out of them.

I wanted to share this link the owner of this blog has all kinds of good ideas for travel and packing.

Well we have 54 days until we leave for Florida and 61 days until we go to Disney! I am super excited. I have all of P's Disney clothes ready but have no idea what to pack for the rest of the trip.

I have been planning this trip since Feburary this year and part of my plan was to lose enough weight to fit into my clothes from before I had P. I would need to lose about 50 pounds over the 10 months. Well I haven't lost anywhere near that. I think I have lost about 5 pounds.:thumbsup2 Which I am still happy about.
It is just when I thought about being able to fit into my size 10 jeans it was exciting. I didn't want to look over weight in my PP pics. I could still drive myself crazy and try to do South Beach for the next 54 days but I don't think it would work. I want to be able to eat better and still include my beloved carbs.
It is so hard to feel out of place in your skin and to feel frumpy and unattractive. However I think if I keep a positive mind and continue to make better eating choices everyday I will eventually lose the weight. I am just going to take it one day at a time. :)
So since I haven't lost the weight I am going to have to make sure to renforce the crotch area of my jeans and maybe bring a small fire extinguisher so when my jeans catch fire from my thighs rubbing together I am ready!:lmao:

Have a great day everyone! Stay tuned this week I plan on sharing what is in my disney box and my new updated plan for taking on the World.:woohoo:

Hey, I'm here, sorry! Great fall pics! such a cute little man you have! Love the mickey blanket you sewed and really love the $2.00 find! I'm a bit jealy!

As for the weight loss... I feel ya! I'm totally stressing about this wedding biz, but eating more not less! I thought wedding stress made you eat less!

Idk what you look like, but i am sure you're beautiful! Don't worry about them thighs, worry about the memories!

I thought I posted a week or more ago, but I guess not!!!

Neat idea for hte straws, I will be stealing that one!

Cool Mickey blanket. I recently ordered our boys a fleece blanket from TDS for $12, free shipping, free personalization. The big boys got Perry and the baby got Mickey!!! Saving those for Santa gifts though, or at the very least as a Buddy the Elf gift for movie night!

So where are you eating on your trip?

So the topic of FOOD has come up. Food is one of my favorite topics! Hince why I am 65 pounds overweight!:rotfl2:

Since we are staying off property we are not able to participate in the DDP. So I did a lot of research on character meals and dining options and came up with this.
We arrive in Orlando on Monday and since we are staying with my sweet MIL we are in her care when it comes to meals! We also get a great Thanksgiving dinner from her as well.

As far as what we are gonna munch on during out week of Disney and Sea World time....

Dh loves breakfast buffets and Orlando has no short of them so we will probably catch a few of these or eat breakfast in the condo.

I was able to get some pretty good ADR's

Day 1 - DTD to see Santa and do some shopping. I have reservations at TREX and also one at Wolf Gang Pucks Cafe. I know I know I am not trying to make anyone angry by having a double reservation but I am not sure at this time is P is going to be scared of TREX or not. I will cancel one of the reservations before we leave for our trip.

Day 2: breakfast @ Chef Mickey's - I have heard many different opinions of Chef Mickeys and decided I would just go and we can try it out for ourselves. I think it will give P the oppurnity to see the characters without having to wait in line.
lunch: CS (Casey's Corner) somewhere or maybe eat back at the condo if we make it back for nap time
dinner: Maybe Pecos Bill or another CS place

Day 3: breakfast @ condo
lunch CS in Epcot
dinner @ Biergarten

Day 4: breakfast @ buffet
lunch @ CS in MK
dinner @ Sci-Fi

Day 5:breakfast @ Condo
lunch @ Flame Tree BBQ or Yak & Yeti CS
dinner @ Boma

As for treats and snacks I could really use some must haves! Please share what your favorties are.

Consider CHH for you MK day....it's not the typical burger and fries which was a nice switch!

Snack...in no order of favorites

Mickey Rice Krispie treats...but the ears HAVE to be covered in chocolate and spinkles of some sort.

DOLE WHIP!

In Epcot, out side of Gernamy they have a snack area for strudel and such as does France (not for sure as I have never been)

Funnel cake

Did I mention Mickey Rice Krispie treats?

A lot of people love the Mickey bar heads, but I am not a fan (but I am weird like that!)

The last time we were at seaworld we ate there for lunch (burgers and such) but left for dinner and went to a Golden Corral (we don't have those up here in PA...yet!). It was not the best GC we have ever been to, but I've had worse!

Yum! I love Golden Corral we had one in Kansas where I grew up and it was yummy. I may need to do some research and see what other buffets are around.

Has anyone ever heard of Texas de Brazil? I have heard really good things about it and hubby loves Brazillian food. It is just so expensive.

I found this blog on Pinterest and loved how the woman has a Disney box. So I made one of my own.

002.jpg

Anytime I am out and about and find something cheap or on clearance I grab it. Also if I find stuff in the house that would work for our trip I throw it in my Disney Box.

So here is what is in my box!

003.jpg

extra cup holder for stroller, glow sticks ($ store), sparkle candels for P's birthday cupcakes (I plan to celebrate everyday), Monistat chafing cream (I was told this is a must have), small magna doodle (target), band aids, mini tissue packs ($ store) Cars mini snack zip lock bags, My little seat (striped bag in back - portable high chair - AWESOME - fits on the back of almost all chairs and child can be buckled in)

006.jpg

bibs, sippy cup leash, snack cup leash and crayon roll

004.jpg

Toy Story lunch sacks, pressed penny holder (Ebay), swimmer diapers, ponchos ($ store), coloring book, travel hairbrush, Color Wonder kit (clearance @ Michaels) & Fisher Price Iphone holder (holds Iphone so screen is still usable but kids cannot hit home button)

005.jpg

Picture mat & clicky sharpie markers for autographs

I add to my box atleast every week. We are only 41 days out and I need to stop adding things. I won't have any room in the suitcases if I keep adding to it.:rotfl:

I have a Disney box as well...some of it is stuff we usedlast time (water fan, unused ponchos, small $1 Disney figures (for our window), lanyards, glowsticks and so on).

I recently picked up a Mickey coloring set from the $1 spot at Target (small book with crayons and markers).

I LOVE the idea of the photo mat...may have to do it, but worry about lugging it around without it getting bent, but it would be a GREAT way to remember the trip!?!?!?!?!?!

Well here we are 30 days out!!! I am super excited but feel like I don't have much else to do.

I do want to call the resort we are staying at and see if they have pack-n-plays. Other than that I am just going to sit back and count down the days.

In non Disney business I went yesterday and got rid of my mom hair. I was so sick of my mousy brown hair and icky cut. I had choppy layers and it was just not cute. So I got myself some highlights and a cut. Feeling much better now.

Since I haven't been working on Disney stuff I have been working on Christmas presents. We don't come home until December 1 so I need most of my presents ready to be mailed when I come back.

I have made a few heat pads, make up bags and a diaper tote. Today I am working on making Christmas stockings for my sil out of her df's uniform. The first one looks really cute.

I read today online that some of the Beauty & The Beast parts of Fantasyland are up and running for a soft opening. I am excited to see Aerials grotto and to see what else is open and ready for us.

Does anyone know what will be for sure open by the end of November?

We are only 27 days away!!!:cool1:

I feel like I should be doing more but I don't know what it could be. I want to wash the tye dye shirts once more before our trip... they feel a little stiff. I was thinking I might start packing and just shove the suitcase under my sons "big boy" bed at night. I am just afraid if I start packing now I will end up re-packing 18 times before the trip so maybe I will just wait.

On top of having my Disney box full of trinkets and things for P I have been adding things that need to be packed so I don't forget them.

I know that I want to order some of the babyfood pouches for our trip. They are so handy for snacks and P is not into eating fruits and veggies. I am just waiting for them to go on sale at Babies R Us. Hopefully they will go on the 10for $10 before we leave.

Enough babbling for today....

27 days!
U

We are possibly going to get hit by hurricane Sandy in the nest 24-36 hours. I am not as worried as some others are. We lived through Irene last year and were lucky to only lose power for 2 days. We have all our water bottles filled up and bought some bottled water as well. We filled the van up with gas and stocked up on snacky foods. We also tied all the outdoor furniture and toys down and flipped the patio table upside down.

I expect a lot of wind and maybe some rain. I think most of the worry is due to the tides and the full moon. We are right on the water and there is the possibility of flooding.

In other news.... I went and tried to buy our Disney tickets at the MWR office on Friday and they don't have the tickets yet! They said Disney hasn't shipped them yet. :worried: We leave in 22 days. I know I can get them at the parks or Shades of Green but I don't want to pay tax at the parks and I don't want to have to make a trip to Shades of Green just to buy tickets. I want to have the tickets in my hand before we leave. I was told they may have the tickets by the end of next week. Lets hope so!!!

I am so super excited!!! We are in siginal digits!! We leave in 8 days! I am beyond excited. I am almost finished packing. The weather is supposed to be really nice when we are there. :thumbsup2
