My 1st Altered Paint can

I'm stalking you! LOL

Yes, I measured the first one before cutting it, I think they were 6 inches (roughly) after I did the first one I just cut them all to length, threw them in the can for storage and fished them out of the can.
You do need a good length for the key too, which I attached to the inside of the can with glue dots. You have to make sure the key can reach all the way around.

i didn't think to even ask the guy at home depot for the keys...next time i will, thanks!!
You thinking tying the ribbons took long? i only used 2 small spools of ribbon so maybe thats why i didn't think it took that long, but the ribbons did make it look even prettier...
seriously do you have any photos to share?? I would love to see!!! ;)

Here are Buffy's photos.

Mrs Matthews had margarita mix in it.
Mrs B's had a restaurant gift card, a candle and something else.

Emily's was a baby shower gift. It had onsies, a blanket, and some washcloths.

the pirate one was mine I use it to ship my tools down to Florida for a scrapbook weekend we have at Disney.

Can you not see the photos I posted? Can you just see them in Morgansmom's post?

1 more question sorry!!!
for the paint can top how did you get the circle cut so perfect?
mine i just cut by hand so its not perfectly round, but now i am thinking i should have used a razor or something

i used the circle cutter from cm to make my tops. it works perfect.

Yes it's a plastic circle that you put on top of your paper with a mat under it and use a little plastic thing holding a blade to trace and cut your paper. I know a great CM lady that you can buy one from! ;)
let me know and Ill pm you her name and numbers.
It comes with 3 circles ( different sizes) and 3 different blades.

and i have to admit its sorta a simple project to do to....as i was laying in bed this morning watching the storm watch, i got an idea to do one for my friends bday coming up in march....she loves her dunkin donuts coffee, so now i am going to get coffee paper and embellishments and use the DD colors for ribbons, and then maybe i'll put a 1lb of coffee in the can.....
the ideas are just flowing now :lovestruc
