My 18 year old cat is missing...GREAT UPDATE!!!

I was out running errands today and went and picked up my son fron school. I came home to find stuff knocked off a small table on our front porch. The family and I were out there talking tonight when we noticed that the cat wasnt right with us as she normally is. I left at about 9:30 and dh came home for extremely briefly at 12:30 and noticed the stuff on the ground but didnt have time to pick it up. Somewhere between 9:30 and 12:30 someone was on our front porch or something happened on the front porch. We have looked all over the neighborhood and all around the house and we cannot find our sweet baby. She was an outside cat. She would not come in the house for anything. If you brought her in she would screech until you let her out. We spent time outside with her every night on the swing out there. She loved to cuddle with us on the swing. I am heartbroken and upset. I cannot for the life of me figure out what happened to our sweet furbaby or what happened on our front porch. No one around us saw anything I have asked. We have looked everywhere for her.

Keep thinking the good thoughts. Once our cat got out and was away for hours and we thought we'd never see him again - and DH found him on the next street in the middle of the night. He was covered in motor oil - but at least we got him back.

I'll be thinking of her and hoping she's just out roaming and will be back soon.

Something might have scared her and she's just lying low for a little while. Don't give up hope.

I hope your kitty turns up soon. Don't give up. Perhaps you could place some of her favorite food outside to coax her back. If something happened that traumatized her, she could be hiding and afraid to come out. In the meantime you might want to post some Lost Cat notices and call your local shelters.

We put her favorite food out last night and it is gone this morning. Still no sign of our baby though. She wasnt at the door when I went out this morning. Im not sure if she ate it or another cat in the neighboorhood ate the food. We will keep looking and not give up hope just yet.

MY BABY IS HOME!!!!!!! I went back outside and she walked out of the carport and greeted me!!! I fed her and then came in and woke dh to tell him she was home and thats when he told me what happened. Apparently our neighbor, who wasnt home when I went over there last night though his buddies were, came over last night after I fell asleep and said that his lab dog had gone after her and she went up in a tree. He said he tried his hardest to get the dog away from her but the dog was too fast for him. He felt horrible. She apparently must have come down out of the tree after our neighbor got his dog under control and went into hiding. Our neighbor felt awful and appologized over and over and over again to dh. I am not mad at our neighbor Im just glad to know what happened and that she is OKAY AND HOME!!! He is a very new dog owner and it is a three year old dog thats just getting used to him too. I am sure he will not let him off the lead again to take him outside the house so this doesnt happen again.
