When did they announce dates for this and when did tickets go on sale?

I noticed this year they are starting it earlier (11-13) than last year
(11-30)

If I remember correctly tickets went on sale in May. I purchased ours at that time through Disney's site. We're going December 1st. I'm very excited, this is our first MVMCP!!
