:santa: We'll be at Disney from 13/12 and am considering whether to pay extra for MVMCP. Have seen mixed reviews of this event & wonder if its worth it. We only really have the last 3 dates to aim at (16th, 18th & 19th) and I imagine these will be very busy! Are there Xmas parades etc during regular park hours? Have never been in 'winter' before, what time do the parks close & do they still do fireworks? Am getting excited already!!

My opinion is if you can afford it then do it! I went 2 years ago and REALLY enjoyed the whole atmosphere. The park was absolutly heaving but still managed to do some rides. I watched the Christmas parade which I dont believe they do during normal park hours, a chirstmas show with Minnie & Mickey and fireworks and if my memory serves me correct then it snows down main street.

They will have normal fireworks in winter and the park times will be available in advance if this will help with you're planning. The parks are all kitted out with xmas decks.

Just to add my 2pence worth if you are going at winter make a stop at Celebration at night time. They again have snow with a great Xmas tree! I loved watching all the kids playing in the snow. Sit with a cup of coffee and do a bit of people watching on the rocking chairs!!!;)

we have done it twice and we love it !!!

The parade is great and the charactors are really cute in chrimbo outfits.

I will echo everything. We went for Christmas 06/07 and even though i love Orlando and have been several times (during the summer months) i had very mixed emmotions about leaving Christmas behind in GB. for the first few days i had a very heavy heart (enjoying myself but thinking of home, often). I had booked mvmcp and it was just what the doctor ordered. We really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was amazing. If you can afford it and Christmas at disney is going to be one of those once in a lifetime holidays GO FOR IT!!!

As everyone else has said it is not to be missed. We have been twice 06/07 and we too will be there when you are.We go on the 9th -24th,as you say there are not that many dates. It wasn't heaving when we went but it was the 8th december. This time we are planning on going the 18th dec as we arrive back from the dlc that day.I heard it was a special event and they only admit a certain amount:confused3 The snow on main street is ace and don't forget the free cocoa ,cookies and applejuice.
Park hours are shorter in the winter months but remember the days of the mvmcp the regulars will be out by 7pm but I am sure I read they can stay in the park but cannot ride or get the free goodies.Roll on may so I can book:rotfl:

Where you staying???

Thanks for replies! Think we will do it,sounds fab. Will probably go for 16th hopefully we'll be up for a late night by then. We are staying at private villa this time, don't know where though (has been booked by parents)! Roll on May 1st when we can book MVMCP does anyone know best number from UK?

Cant help with the number as we book ours through DVC MS, but it will be posted on the disboards when the tickets are released.:cool1: Getting excited myself we are in WDW 1-22nd Dec and will be doing MVMCP 4th & 16th Dec. Not long now till ADR planning:)
