Most definitely! Never miss it as there is not a more Magical experience than Christmas at WDW and MVMCP is total immersion in that magic.

Not if your family isn't in it for the long haul. We did it after a long day of touring. By the time the evening came we were beat. We weren't able to take advantage of the late hours because we were just ready to head back to the hotel to sleep.

Only you know your family. If you plan to do a party, I highly recommend taking a break/nap in the middle of the day. A little planning goes a long way.

How old are your children? Is this your first trip? Do you plan on going back? What days are your options for the party? (you can check the crowd calendars to see what is expected.) What would you do that day before you are able to be admitted at 4pm?

These are questions you really need to ask yourself. Like I said, my kids are too young to really get our money's worth out of it (expensive Hot Chocolate. Thanks, manning) Plus we tired them out being in the park all day, and expecting them to wait 45 minutes -1hr or more for a good spot for parade and fireworks + about 1/2 hr or more between end of parade and fireworks) really just not worth it for us.

The day we thought about going is our arrival day, Tuesday the 11th. We arrival at Mco at 11 that morning, so we could rest until 4. Just not sure, bc I hear so many conflicting reports about it being very crowded.

Sold out nights are pretty crowded and so far this year more nights have sold out so far than I remember in previous years, but your plan sounds like a good one. A Tuesday night will hopefully have less people than a weekend, but there is really no way to know ahead of time. Also, realize your resort room may not be ready when you arrive so the younger kids may not be able to take a nap unless it's in the lobby.

Considering all of that, I would say go for it!!! I would just definitely have a stroller for the youngest, or maybe even a double for the youngest 2 so even if they fall asleep, the rest of you can still enjoy everything!!!

If there is a must see character, do that before the kids fall asleep, and don't waste a lot of time on doing a "table service dinner" during the party hours.

Tuesdays generally aren't as crowded as weekend nights (Orlando locals) and I am pretty sure that the week you are going is still just a medium crowd level, so you may luck out with that.

Since you won't be getting to your resort until after 12-12:30, I would grab some lunch, visit the arcade or maybe even the "quiet pool" if it is warm enough, just something that won't be too exhausting, but keep the kids from going MAD with excitement.

Which resort are you staying at? And are you planning on using Disney Transportation? The reason I ask, is because, if you are planning on taking the bus, you will want to head out around 3, by the time you get to the bus stop,wait for the bus, get to the park, walk to the gates etc.etc. it will take you almost an hour. (that's IF you want to be there @ 4)

I say go for it, you will probably get more out of it (as far as your older kids and your plan) than I did. (but like I said, our mistake was being in MK ALLLLLL DAAAY LOOOONNNGGG)

I think your situation makes it worth doing. December 11th is not likely to be as crowded as some other dates, because it is a weeknight (fewer locals) and not as close to Christmas. And you'll be going into it with reasonably well rested kids. I think they'll really enjoy the decorations and the parade, and ride lines should be very good. A nice start to your holiday!

I'd go on your arrival day IF YOU will rest. How can you be sure that your room will be available to rest? What will you do as an alternative?

On peak periods, I do think it FEELS crowded. But arrival day is always the day you have the most energy. Can you sleep in the next day?

I would do it at least once, because you never know if you will like it, until you try it... We went last year the only thing we thought we would do different is that we would go to park later like 2 or 3 pm as we have AP.
My granddaughter was to tired after a long day at the park, she was only 2 last year. She did do some stuff but I would have loved her to be able to enjoy it more.

I think it's worth doing once. We did MVMCP mid November last year mid week....it was very crowded, lines for characters were unbelievably long, and the lines for hot chocolate & cookies long too. There weren't many stations for cookies/cocoa either. The parade was ok, the fireworks ok.

All in all, I'm glad we did it (but I did it before DS turned 3, so he was free. He's not worth paying for since he's asleep in the stroller before 10) but I'll never go again.

If there are any characters you simply HAVE to see (for us it was the princesses) get on the line for them a little before 7pm. We got on line for princesses about 6:30, and were done in time for the first parade. The line behind us was over 2 hours long!

Go into it expecting mega crowds, then if it's not as bad as you anticipated, you'll be pleasantly surprised. With the right attitude you'll have a great time no matter what!
