I am on the fence with this issue, maybe someone with similar experience can shed some light.

Originally I was very excited to attend MVMCP on our trip this year and then I got to thinking if it would be worth it . My ds7 would enjoy it no doubt but we also have ds2 and I am afraid with the lateness of the whole thing it just might turn out miserable for everyone.

Anyone attend in the past with little kids?? What were your experiences??

Thanks for anyone who can help!

Will your little one sleep in a stroller? If yes, then you can have family fun till he conks out and then you can do rides in shifts. We did that on an e-night with a 3 year old. She rode in the stroller all the way back to the rv at FW and into bed!

We went when my DS was 14 months. He loved it! He loved all the lights, all the activity and the cookies! He had fun playing some games and the CM's "let" him win some prizes. We didn't stay the whole night, but stayed long enough to do everything. We went as soon as it opened and there wasn't too many crowds yet. He was also free to enter,so we didn't worry about "wasting" money to pay for him to go/

As soon as we got there, we went to get the family picture before the lines got too long. After that we just took it easy.

We're already planning on going next Christmas time with him and his new brother or sister (who's due in April) :D

With DS4 and DS2, we stayed until the second parade. They loved the whole experience. Just make sure that your DS2 takes a nap in the afternoon. The Toontown was virtually deserted and we watched the fireworks with Donald all to ourselves.

I'ld also suggest you take a blanket for the little one. Last year it was so cold!

We went when my sons were 3 and 1. They really enjoyed seeing the lights and the parade. The characters where everywhere, so we got a lot of autographs that night.

The park was not crowded that week during the day, but MVMCP was packed with people. I didn't expect that! We wasted time waiting for over an hour for some rides that night.

One other thing was that we spent most of our time in the back of the park. When we left at midnight we found that a lot of the main Disney characters were up near the entrance. We missed getting a picture of the boys with Mickey and Minnie dressed up as Santa and Ms. Claus.

My boys have always been able to stay up late with no problem. You know your child, take into account how he does when you keep him out late. If he will sleep in the stroller that might be a good idea. Best of luck on your decision! :)

If your really think your child would be miserable, consider getting an in-room babysitter for your two year old. That way, you can concentrate soley on your older child.
