MVMCP vs MNSSHP pricing

Went to my first Christmas party last year and am attending again this November. Never attended the Halloween party, but my assumption is that it is basically the same thing as the Xmas party (only with Halloween theme instead of Xmas theme).

Just wondering: is there anything so different between the two parties that would result in the $20 upcharge for the Xmas party vs the Halloween party? Or is it just a higher-demand for the Xmas party that causes the price difference? I want to say that the price gap between the two events was smaller just a few years ago ($5 or $10 on average), but maybe I'm wrong about that.

A lot depends on the date you are looking at, Christmas goes from $95 to $125. Halloween goes from $75 to $125. Not sure why Christmas is more.

I did not realize the pricing was different. I know different days of the week or different times result in different prices. For example, Fridays are usually a higher price than Sunday. Is that what you are looking at? Are all the Christmas parties more expense, or is it just those in certain weeks?

Having been to both multiple times, I would say that MNSSHP is far superior to MVMCP. The atmosphere with even adult guests in costume just makes it feel like such a celebration. It is a much better party. I am typically a Christmas person too. I've never been a big fan of Halloween - well at least until we started going to MNSSHP.

One thing I thought of is that Halloween runs over 2 1/2 months, where Christmas only runs for 1 1/2 months. So less of the low price dates.

MNSSHP started on Aug 17 and runs until Oct 31. That's almost 11 weeks of parties.

MVMCP starts on Nov 8, takes the whole week of Thanksgiving off, and then runs to Dec 21. That's only 6 weeks of parties.

It's the old supply and demand equation of economics.
