This will be my family's second time to WDW. My kids are 4 and 6 (DS6 will be 7 on arrival day). We tend to only ever do the parks for 6-8 hours a day, MAYBE up to 10 with a break for naps in between at some point.

I've heard different answers for this: can I or can't I purchase tickets JUST for the party and not have a ticket for the park? 4PM- midnight is ample amount of time to enjoy the park for our family. I'm actually not really interested in all the festivites that will take place (not ruling them out, they're just not must dos).

So do I have to have a ticket for the MK AND the party if I just plan to go when they allow entrance to the party?

TIA

you just need party tickets. You wont need ticket for the park on top of the party ticket.

You'll be allowed in usually around 4pm day of party.

The party is a hard ticket event. It is sold separately. On the day of your party, you can enter the MK starting at 4pm.

So no. You do NOT need a day pass if you are only going to the party.

Wonderful! Thank you to you both. I think I will use the first half of the day for resort time and naps. Then on our way to MK!
