MVMCP treats for kids with peanut allergies

We are considering buying tickets to the party. Do they have treats for people with peanut allergies? We'll probably still go even if they don't, but I'll know to bring something fun for dd to eat while we have our cookies. Is the cocoa safe. Called Disney, but they had no answers for me

If I remember correctly, they give out apple slices in addition to the chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate/cider. Can anyone else confirm this?

They give out apples and apple cider (juice) their coca Is a nestle brand.

Until the parties actually begin, there's no way to know for certain just what will be available. That being said, since Enjoy Life cookies are available at so many places around WDW I would bet that there will be EL cookies for those with allergies at least at select locations.

I was able to get Enjoy Life Cookies at Tomorroland Terrace last year. I've also heard from some nut free folks that you can get nut free cookies at City Hall. I know they had nut free chocolate and candies at City Hall for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this year.

Talked with special diets today. Their "alternative" cookies include OMG Gluten Free cookies (not sure if these are nut free-- they are NOT egg free, which is what we need ) and some sort of sugar free cookie. The CM did say that the cookie areas that are normally counter service places (like Columbia Harbor House, etc) *might* have Enjoy Life cookies, but she couldn't guarantee it. I will be bringing Chips Ahoy for DS in my purse, just in case. They will also have apple slices and apple juice available, but I'm not going to make DS eat apple slices while everyone else has a cookie. I am NOT thrilled with Disney's new emphasis on "gluten free" while excluding other allergies. Vent over. --Katie

While I understand your point but the apple slices are good mist time I get those instead of the cookie. If you stop by city hall they my have some stuff or talk to them cms at each spot.

They did they offer apple slices I now their not cookies but their better then nothing.

For my child, the offer of apples would be nothing as she's allergic to raw apples. And, sure, for an adult it's not a big deal to watch others eat cookies while you munch on apples but it's cruel to make a child watch everybody around them eat something like cookies and tell them that all they can have is apples.

Even as somebody who's gluten free, I agree that the emphasis on all allergy food being gluten free while ignoring other allergens (eggs are definitely ignored by whomever is doing the ordering of allergy products) is unbelievably frustrating.

I am surprised that people are saying that in general they're having trouble finding nut free treats. Even with lots of allergies my kids find plenty of sweet treats. One of my kids doesn't find many baked goods but that's due to eggs. Of course my kids can have Bob's Red Mill as they're not severe enought that the BRM level of shared facility is a concern but I am surprised that people are struggling as much as they are since we find lots of stuff for my kids to eat including junk food.

We were just at the party on Thursday 11/15 and were able to get the Enjoy Life cookies. I think it was at Cosmic Ray's.

We were at Disney in 2007 and I loved that they had the Divvies cookies and popcorn at the resorts. oh well.
