MVMCP Ticket Question

We are going to the party on December 17...I'm wondering about FP usage and paper tickets. Do they get scanned or do we need to get a hard ticket or band to use the FP's we've booked between 4-6 p.m.? Never encountered this scenario as this is the first time we are only going to MVMCP and no other parks during our trip to FL, usually we have bands. Will be at Disney Springs the night prior so could go to guest services there to avoid wasting time on party day. TIA for the help/advice shared!

There are no more paper tickets issued at WDW.
Hard plastic RFID tickets (or MagicBands) are required for FP+ usage.
If you already have MagicBands from previous trips, they can be used for
this coming visit. MagicBands (unless intentionally deactivated) can be used over and over.

Thanks for your reply...we have older magic bands but do their batteries wear out? My band would be 2+ years old and DH and DS would be 4+ years old. This just occurred to me last night and glad I am asking now so I can put a good plan in place as don't want to waste precious party time.

EDIT: Went to my pal google and now know that batteries likely will be depleted after two years so will head to Guest Services next Saturday at Disney Springs to get new bands or cards.

Your pal, google, doesn’t know that the touchpoints are what is ‘powered’ to read the MB’s RFID info.

Save money and use your MBs. They’ll be fine for park entrance, FP lines, and will provide the link for Photopass photos.

Ditto.
You can use an older MB virtually "forever" for the most important functions at WDW parks and resorts.

Hope you find them! If you aren’t able to, just stop by a Ticket Window or Guest Relations and have plastic tickets issued to you. They will function as MBs.

Me too! Not going to fret too much about it though...a lot to do in the next few days and am determined not to stress about much of anything, just a funny happenstance.
