MVMCP Ticket/Confused!

I called this evening to purchase our tickets for the MVMCP. The CM told me that we would need our park hopper and the event ticket. That contradicts what I have been reading on the Dis. We were not planning on going to the parks on this day(until the party) and we are hoping that we would not have to use a hopper day. I am a little confused and worried! Can anyone help clarify this for me? Thank you!

You won't need your regular ticket unless you want to enter the park before the event. After 4pm (I think that's the time) you can enter the MK with your MVMCP ticket, there is no other admission required.

my guess is the cm was confusing MVMCP with e-nights, where you do have to have park admission (and be an onsite guest) to obtain your wrist band.

Previous poster correct...no additional ticket media necessary. You should be able to enter by 4 PM with you MVMCP ticket..worked that way for us the past few years. Just check with guest services the day of your party...they will be able to confirm what time they are letting people in with their party tickets.
