I am very excited that they have announced the dates and the day of mine and my dd's bday (we have the same bday) is one of the dates!!! But there are some logistics that I'm a little fuzzy on and would really appreciate some help!

1. How do you purchase tickets? I know they aren't on sale yet but it is really important to me to get that specific date so I'll want to buy as soon as they are on sale and am wondering if I need to plan on being online or if I have to call.

Can anybody tell me how I go about doing the following: I have a resort reservation (Fort Wilderness) and a 6 day park ticket purchased from UDT and linked to my MDE account already. On the day of our bday we are planning on getting to the park around 11 in the morning or noon, hoping to make a BBB ADR for my dd, then late lunch ADR at CRT. I want to schedule FP+ for in the afternoon on our regular park ticket that we will be entering the park with that morning. Then I'm hoping to schedule 3 more FP+ on the party tickets from 4 to 7 for a total of 6 FP+ (since I'm paying full price for both tickets I really don't see this as double dipping in any way but I apologize if that offends anybody).

My thought is that I need to somehow purchase the party tickets in my dh's mde account (which is not linked to mine) so that it won't be linked to our reservations or other tickets. My guess is that I'll be able to make FP+ at 60 days on the regular ticket and at 30 days on the party ticket.

2. Does that sound correct? Any advice? Any pitfall to this plan that I'm not seeing? How will we go about accessing our FP+, will we need to carry our magicbands and party tickets with us and remember which FP is on which?

3. Will we still be able to put pics on the memory maker during the party since that will be linked to our regular tickets and not our party tickets?

4. Since we will be entering the park on a regular ticket, what do we have to do to get our party wristbands and what time do we have to do that in order to use our FP+ that are on the party ticket? Can one person pick up our wristbands or do we all have to go?

5. I want to schedule the dessert party at tomorrowland terrace that same night. I'm assuming that I can schedule that with my resort reservation at 190 days and it will let me book it without a party ticket linked, is that correct?

1. You can purchase the tickets online.
You can't make fp+ reservation on party tickets.
2. You will need to carry you MB to link pics to it.
3.Yes you can put party pics in your mm.
4. At 4pm you can go pick up your wristband for the party.
5. No dessert party on special event nights.

I'll add if I was you I will not use the regular ticket just for a few hours. I will just enter the park with the party ticket at 4pm and maybe schedule bbb and dessert party another day.

Actually, you can, but you can't have 3 on a party ticket and 3 on a regular ticket; you can only have 3 per day. And for #3, Memory Maker is linked to your MDE account, not to your park tickets. Also, not all dates will sell out, and the ones that do don't sell out that fast, so it's really not necessary to buy them the first day they're available.

You are correct you can but not in party hours, so from 4-7. I guess you could link the party tickets to another mde account it is possible to make 6 fp+, but only until 7 pm.

I appreciate the responses. We definitely want to get there earlier than 4, it's a special day for us because it is our actual birthday and my dd is turning 7. Since I bought our tickets already and adding the 6th day was only 10 bucks per person, it was well worth it to me.

So since we will already be in the park, where do we go to pick up our wristbands? Do we have to go all the way back to the front gate? Does everyone have to go or can one person take the tickets and pick up all the wristbands?

I was aware that I would not be able to make 6 fp on the same day, that's why I'm asking about buying the tickets on a separate account and whether there is going to be any problem with that? Has anyone successfully done this?

Are there really no dessert parties on the night of the Christmas parties? I'm almost certain I read on here that people have gone to those during the party? I'm planning on that for our birthday dinner after our late CRT lunch so I really hope that info is wrong!

And just out of curiosity, I wonder what will happen with the F+ reserved viewing area for wishes on the nights of the parties? Does anybody know? Is it just a free for all?

1. You don't have to go back to the entrance, although I don't know for sure where you'll be able to get them. Everyone will have to go though, because they actually fasten the wristbands on your wrist.

2. I missed that you said you'd be using a separate account for the party tickets. I would suggest checking out this thread for more information:

3. I'm pretty sure I've read about dessert parties happening during the parties too.

Well, it's hard to say now since a new FP+ viewing area is opening tomorrow. I would imagine though that it wouldn't be any better or worse than finding a spot in any other viewing location.

There is dessert party during the Christmas party. I was thinking you were talking about Halloween party, I can't process thinking about Christmas yet :).

We are flying in on Dec 18th and was thinking of hitting the MVMCP that first night - are tickets hard to get for the last night? Is it something I need to stay up until midnight to do?

Oh good! We did the dessert party on our last trip and really wanted to do it again for our bday dinner.

I don't think they are very hard to get but if you know what date you want to go I would not wait if I were you. Tickets are supposed to go on sale sometime in April I believe.

Since there is no FP during the parties, there is no FP for Wishes during the parties and hence no reserved FP viewing area. So, yes, it is a "free-for-all" (but generally it is less crowded than fireworks on most non-party nights).

The last party will sell out, but not the first day the tickets go on sale. If I had to guess, I'd say they won't sell out until sometime in the fall.

Thanks for the info!

Last question - as far as the sell out goes, how many tickets do they sell for these things? Would it be the equivalent to a real busy day at the parks (like a 10 rating) or do they sell less tickets for these than they would allow in for a busy park day?

Speculation is that they sell 30,000-35,000 tickets per party, but no one knows for sure. It's certainly not a 10 day or anything close. The rides will all be walk ons, other than Peter Pan (short wait) and 7DMT (moderate wait). It will "feel crowded" for the fireworks and parade because everyone is crowding to those areas to see them. There will mostly be lines for the party-specific characters, which will vary depending on how popular said characters are.

Disney doesn't say how many tickets they sell for the parties, but it would definitely not be the equivalent of how many people are in the park on a 10 day.

Remember when I said last question earlier? I lied.

Can you make reservations for dinner during the mvmcp? I might want to get in at opening around 4:00 and grab something to eat before the shows.

I wouldn't book an ADR during the actual party hours because you'll waste a fair amount of party time eating. If you're talking about the hours between 4 and 7 (when you can get in with just a party ticket), that would be better.
