It's too far out to bank on just yet, but right now the night I'm going to MVMCP there's a 60% chance of rain starting at 6pm. If I call will they let me switch to the other party night if the forecast doesn't improve? I'm not asking for a refund, just to move it.
I'm wondering if you are going the same night we are (Nov 16th). I just looked and we have a 60% chance of rain. Hoping that will change between now and then!

I've heard of Disney changing the ticket days for people who mistakenly purchased the wrong day - not sure about the weather. One thing to note though - it's been my experience that the forecast for Orlando is completely untrustworthy anything more than four or five days out. I bet it will change!

My instinctive answer is it's unlikely that they'll let you change the dates of your ticket just because of the weather (unless it proves to be pouring rain during the party and several elements get cancelled). I've read that they refunded/exchanged tickets for guests at a MNSSHP that got rained out, but they didn't do this until after the party was pretty much rained out.
That being said, it can't hurt to ask because you might get some pixie dust and they'll let you you switch. The only other problem I can see is if you want to switch a sold out party; they might not be able to do that either.
Don't know about the weather situation, but one year my DS was sick on the night that we had tickets for MNSSHP. I had called Disney to explain the situation, and they told me to stop by the town hall at the MK and they would gladly exchange our tickets for another night providing that it was available.
We are going on the 16th too and I have looked at the weather app everyday for the past week for Nov 12-18th, just to see how much the weather changes. It has changed everyday- one day it will say rain and then tomorrow it will say sunny all day. So I don't worry until the day comes. Last year the weather said rain for every single day of our trip a week before and we never saw a drop of rain.
