This will be my first solo trip and part of me is scared that I will just decided to stay in my room the whole time. I am going to the pin event and there should be a lot of people that I know their screen names there, but none that I have ever hung out with. I have never ridden a ride alone and normally when I eat dinner alone it is a frozen dinner in front of the tv.
Normally by now I would have all my reservations made and mapped out which park I was going to spend the day at. How do all of you who travel alone plan do it? Do you plan your days or take them one day at a time? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

How I plan a solo trip to Walt Disney World? Sorta like this ...

1. Buy the UG, and subscribe to TGM.
2. Have all the park maps on hand.
3. Pick your dates and make a room reservation way in advance.
4. Determine the best park to visit for each day using UG and TGM.
5. Make a list of all attractions that you want to be sure not to miss.
6. Plan out a route through each park that takes you to the attractions you listed, using show times, and avoiding backtracking. (I allow plenty of time between attractions on these itineraries, and always end up doing several extra things to take up the time; or I spend some time having a cool drink and people watching. This planning insures that I'll hit all the attractions I want to see without rushing through the parks. I NEVER park hop, and I DO NOT go back to my resort during the day. Both eat up way too much good touring time. I'd rather relax right there in the park.)
7. Finally, note where you will be at meal times, and call 180 days in advance for all needed reservations.

I hope you have a great time. Being solo is really fun, with several advantages you will never have with a group.

I've planned a trip for the 2nd week in December. One of my friends MAY come with me. But so far, I've planned the trip as if I'm going alone: I check touring plans for which parks will be the least crowded, and planned my meals according to which park I wil be in.

On another thread, solos are gettting together while I'm there, so I'm going to hook up with them twice.

I REALLY want to go to the Christmas party after seeing it on the Travel Channel. So I'm not going to miss it just because I wont have someone with me. I think it'll be great!
