MVMCP questions

Hi, I'm a WDW "virgin" so I have a few questions.

1. During our stay, we could see MVMCP on Nov. 13 or Nov. 17th. Do these dates usually sell out? I would think a Monday would be less busy than a Friday, but it's the first day of the MVMCP. Which would be less busy?

2. If we want to make a res for Cinderella's Royal Table, is 5:00 pm reasonable? Will it be about the right time to sit and take a break, eat at our leisure, then get out for the festivities?

3. If we purchase tix for the 13th, and it's raining or something, can they be exchanged for the 17th if there are still tix available?

Thanks!!

Just love all the info I learn here!

Welcome to the DIS, Mel.

I would suggest Monday over Friday, even if it is the first party. I would maybe make the ADR for 4:30, and as far as I know, an exchange for rain is not allowed. Though I will say that Disney in the rain is pretty neat too. Not a lot of rain at that time of the year.

From our December MVMCP experiences, we've found that Fridays are busy. Many local families come to the party on nights when there's no school the next day.

We've been to WDW many times in November, and rain is rare.

One caution though...if you're flying in from the north, what happens if your flight is delayed? If you plan to do MVMCP on your very first night, and your flight is supposed to arrive in the afternoon, there's always the chance that you could be delayed by weather and miss the party. If it's a choice between first day and Friday, I'd choose Friday.

Just to clarify, the Monday is not the first day we arrive (it'll be day 6 actually), it's the first day of the Christmas Parties at WDW.

Thanks for the advice!

Mel

Those parties are very early in season; the earliest they've ever been before. The first party was usually after Thanksgiving. I highly doubt that either will sell out or be very crowded. The locals, IMHO, will probably wait and go in December.

They will not issue tickets to a different night unless everything is canceled like the parades, fireworks, and shows. It takes quite a bit to cancel those things.

Your Cindy ressie should be fine. We did a 5:15 at Tony's last year and everything worked out well. We missed a lot of the "transition" crowding, and it didn't feel ridiculously early to be eating dinner.

BTW - There's a photo station not far from the castle, kind of between Frontierland and Liberty Square that would be really easy for you to hit right after dinner. That's where we went and had almost no line. Since people get herded into Tomorrowland it tends to be the most crowded early on.

This is the exact same question I have. We can only go Friday November 17th and I"m worried about crowds. My husband will kill me if I convince him we need to do this and then the crowds are horrible.

We are Disneyland people and would only consider doing a Friday night during the school year (never on Spring break or holidays).

So, the question is because this is before Thanksgiving and the Christmas crowds do you think it will be manageable? I can't stand shoulder to shoulder crowds and long, long lines.

Any other input?? This is our only chance to see this and we have never been to one before. Worth it?

TIA,
KElly

I am curious to know how you enjoyed MVMCP in November. We are thinking of changing from a October (MNSSHP) vacation to a November Veteran's weekend so that we can see the MVMCP. How is the weather?
