MVMCP opening hour?

I've got a ticket for MVMCP for Dec. 5th. I want to mak an early PS for dinner somewhere (maybe Chef Mickey's or Trails End) and then go into MK.

When does the Party officially open for ticket goers that are not already in the park?

The party officiallly starts at 7:00pm but you can enter anytime after 4:00pm.

Really? You can enter at 4 pm with only the MVMCP ticket and not use any other admission media for the day?

I appreciate any information, as this year will be my first at MVMCP, but certainly not our first trip to WDW, the first-timer family that we're taking with us is depending on me to be the "expert!"

It's been 4:00pm the past 3 years, since they setup the security checks after 9/11. This way they spread out the arrivals. We've got there early the past 2 years, it's a great jump on the party, lines are not bad. Between the regular 6:00 closing & 7:00, they allow MVMCP ticketholders to ride in Tomorrowland, you show your wristband that they give you at the turnstiles.

Now I just got to decide which buffet to go to for an early dinner. Both Trail's End and Chef Mickey's will allow me to grab a boat to MK. Any thoughts of which one is best?

Good buffet and will get get you charged up for a great evening at the MVMCP.Trail's End is good also and a good value I still lean towards my first suggestion Chef Mickey's.
