MVMCP on short trip

We just snagged a reservation for December 19 thru the 22nd. We will be getting there LATE on the 19th. Our dilemma now is whether to go to MK on Friday AND do the party. Or skip the party and head back to AKV early.....

I have read a lot of posts about the party and the crowds.

Is the party worth it for first time visit at Christmas? Or do we get enough of the Christmas vibe by just being in the park till 7?

_I_ would skip the party. If anything goes awry with your travel, you will already feel pressure on a short trip. The party is fun, but you never know what the crowds will be. I have been when it was PACKED and MISERABLE. _I_ have a hard time justifying the cost...but that's just me!

Friday, December 20th, is the last MVMCP. Beginning Saturday, the 21st, you'll be able to watch the Christmas Parade, the Christmas fireworks, and the Celebrate the Season Castle Show during regular, but crowded, park hours.

If Friday is the only day you have planned for MK, going to the Party that evening will give you the full Christmas experience with possibly smaller crowds than other days during your trip.

I would stay away from any MVMCP that is on a Friday. Not only will be going to the last party day, but the locals will probably be flocking to it as well. This party night may be one of the most crowded of the year.
