We have done the second week in November two times and really lucked out with crowds. This year they changed the dates of MVMCP to Monday (11/12), Tuesday, Thursday, Friday that week. What?! We're not doing a party this time and I'm not sure when to schedule BOG and our MK days. Will they even release dinner times for those days 180 days before? Our first trip, they did not release them until around september or october. When should I plan MK days? I need to do my ADR's in about two weeks and now I'm stuck.

You'll want to do one MK day on one of those party days and either hop for the evening or make it an early evening, dinner show, or DS night. Then you're going to need one evening in MK on a non-party day to see HEA. Sunday night would be my choice if you're there on Sunday. Either way be prepared for a VERY crowded HEA.

As to dinner times, they haven't released any for party hours, but people have been able to make some MK ADRs for MNSSHP days. Not sure how late they've found or how many. Remember BoG dinner will be a prix fix by then and require 2TS credits if you're on the dining plan.

We will be arriving Sunday 11/11 and leaving Monday 11/19. So we do have the first Sunday (depending on when our flight arrives) and the next weekend but that is the weekend before Thanksgiving. I really hate fighting the crowds! I can't believed they moved this ONE week to a Monday party from Sunday.

It’s because of the Veterans’ Day holiday weekend...they won’t shorten the weekend hours so they move the Party to Monday.

It’s the same schedule for Columbus Day weekend for MNSSHP.

I don't understand why that makes a difference. Do you mean that they are trying to maximize crowds on the weekend because it is a holiday weekend?

Even if you don't have MVMCP tickets, you can still make dinner ADRs at BOG up until 6p.m. As soon as you are done eating, you will be directed out of the park.

Do we know yet how late non-party guests can make dinner ADRs on party nights? I haven't seen any recent posts with actual times.

It means Disney doesn’t want to make regular guests leave the park at 6:00p on a Sunday during a holiday weekend so they switch the party to Monday.

So I had no idea that Veterans Day would be a holiday that would influence Disney crowds and schedules. Touring Plans has it rated as a super crowded day in all parks! UGH! I was hoping to catch the last day of F&W. Now I'm wondering if we should arrive Monday and extend to Tuesday of Thanksgiving week.

I saw that too. No other sites say it's going to be very crowded- just your usual weekend crowds. I'm just going into it knowing that it's always busy on a weekend.

We had a similar issue last year with 3 MVMCP's and a cast member party the week after Thanksgiving. I was worried it would be rough, but it actually worked out well. Broke it up doing small doses 2 days, then one full day, then actually back the last night to see HEA one more time (so good, had to see it again). Didn't need FP's the party mornings b/c crowds were low, then hopped after lunch to use our 3 at another park. Saved 7DMT, PP and SM for FP our full day, hit up the others on the short days. Did BOG and CRT for lunch instead of dinner.

We went the first two weeks of November last year. We skipped out the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

I can tell you Veterans Day weekend is quite busy but nothing compared to the weekend leading into Thanksgiving. Dapper Day may have played a part in crowd levels.

Next time we’ll be getting out of Dodge by Friday.

Just my .02

I had booked BOG dinner for 5:40PM on a MNSSHP night because it was the only available ADR I could snag when my 180+10 opened up last Monday. I ended up canceling though because I was able to grab one for our first night (which is non-party) instead thanks to a search I set up on the Touring Plans reservation finder. I would highly suggest utilitizing that tool.

This is good to know! Maybe Wednesday non-party night will have EMH and sort of empty out after HEA?? I guess best case scenario would be if I could get BOG Wednesday night, then view HEA and then get a lot of rides in if the park is open late. We will do a morning party day in MK too.

I just set up a test on TP reservation finder for October even though our trip is in November. I was wondering how well that worked.

This planning is stressing me out now and I usually love the planning.

I think I can just about guarantee you that the park will NOT empty out after HEA on that Wed. That's the only week night without a party. It WILL be a madhouse. BUT ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Make a plan and enjoy the madness.

TP is amazing but you have to jump on those ADRs immediately when you get the alert. I set it up to text me, which was a godsend because it texted me the actual link to the page to book it. It took all of 2 seconds.

I actually broke down and booked the HEA dessert party solely to avoid what I assume will be the insanity of the fireworks crowds on a non-party night. This will be our first time seeing it and I wasn’t trying to fight those hub crowds for a spot. I call it a “stress tax”. We will play it by ear for afterwards, but we’re staying at the Poly so dipping out if it’s too crazy is no big deal.

Fireworks viewing is a nightmare non-party nights. Thinking of doing the party myself next time for the same reason you said. Part of the reason we went back the 2nd night, a Saturday, was b/c my daughter couldn't see the projections well even though we had a great spot. That night we closed the park. Even though it was a 10/10 crowd level that night according to TP numbers that come out a day or 2 after, crowds were low after HEA. We played FP roulette, and had a fantastic couple of hours hitting some of our favorites and the one we hadn't done, all with the rolling FP. We got POTC, Splash, Pooh, did standby for a couple others.

Will say, when going against the crowd exiting HEA, it was slightly terrifying. Like if the Super Bowl ended, there was one way out, and you were trying to get in.

So glad I found this thread. We are arriving 11/10-11/16 for our first trip. I was so surprised (and a little disappointed) that Christmas celebrations were already beginning. Trying to make some plan adjustments around MVMCP and avoid MK those days if at all possible. Really hoping to get a breakfast at CRT, although I hear it's nearly impossible. We thought we were going on a green light week.

Are there fireworks on non-Christmas party nights?

Yes, but consensus is that it's more challenging to see them because of the more limited opportunities for viewing during party season. More people turn up to MK on non-party nights in general since parties limit evening touring to begin with. So you have more people trying to view the fireworks, because HEA isn't showing every night. More jockeying for spots, etc.
