This is only my opinion and I'll probably get flamed for it but............

We go to WDW at least once a year and usually stay at POR. It's a beautiful resort and I can't reccommend it enough.

This year we went later than ususal because I always wanted to see it "snow" on Main St. and experience the Christmas parade and festivities.
So I paid the extra money for tickets to MVMCP.

Save your money!! We sat for 2 hours on Main St. to have front row seats for the parade. I didn't think the parade was as good as the general parades that is held everyday in the afternoon. You saw the dwarfs and wooden soldiers but overall it was very disappointing.

The snow on Main St. was disappointing in the beginning, you could barely see it up at the top of the buildings and could clearly see it was being blown out in several spots.
At the end of the evening when you were walking out it was coming down more realistically and was very nice.

There are only 6 locations for the hot chocolate and cookies and while we couldn't get to all 6 of them we did try 3 spots. The lines were hundreds of people long so we didn't wait for it. Really Disney 6 locations with thousands of people in the park. (and this was on the 2nd night of MVMCP so the peak crowds weren't even there yet).

So I did the show as I had always wanted to but will never do it again. There were only 2 of us and I can afford to spend the extra money for this but I can't imagine a family having to spend hundreds of dollars for this experience it just isn't worth it.

Save your money and go to Hollywood Studios for the Osborne light show.
It was fantastic and they have the snow falling also and it's FREE. A much better holiday experience in my opinion.

Overall we had a good trip, we were there for 2 weeks and the weather was great. Did all the parks and Hoop De Do. Disney is changing though, the food quality is much worse than it was years ago, many restrooms were not up to the old Disney standards.

I think we'll take a Disney break for a few years. I know they are a business and are really interested in making money but with all the price increases they have made no one is making more money other than the executives. They don't pass on any of the money to their employees. This behavior is what drives the 99% sit ins.
