My family (6 of us, the youngest is 15) and I are going to be at Disney during a MVMCP. We are DVC members so we have been to Disney a lot. I enjoy the fireworks and parades but the rest of my family would prefer rides and only watch the fireworks and shows to appease me. We’ve never been, but I’m wondering if MVMCP is worth the $700 for us to attend if they don’t care about the shows? TIA! Kim

My family doesn’t care about the fireworks or parades either. I like the parade at the Xmas party and they seem to enjoy watching it with me - but they’d rather be on rides.

They love the MVMCP because they can walk onto so many rides and hardly wait at all for anything.

We usually don’t go until 7pm so the day guests are gone and as the night goes on, it’s easier and easier to just walk on the rides.

So many others at the party are watching the parades, fireworks and doing the meet and greets so we often have the rides pretty much to ourselves.

A lot of people seem to leave after the fireworks or they watch the 2nd parade so those last 2 hours are really great for rides!

If the park is not crowded, it could be a good night.
MNSSHP has become so crowded, that there are very few nights where anything is walk on.
I consider it worth the money as i enjoy the parade, the show and the fireworks.
If you don't enjoy those things, I would likely skip the party.

I went for the first time and spent close to $400 for my group (my tickets were at least discounted at a tad bit). Granted, we were at the first party and it was a bust due to rain, but I don't think I'd ever do it again. I paid $400 to ride several rides and only had a 15-25 minute wait on. Finally got to ride SDMT. But I don't think it's "worth" the extra cost. That is going to be subjective to each and every individual out there. We aren't into characters and, more so, not interested in a 45 minute to 2 hour line for characters. There was just nothing about the event to ever move me to do another ticketed event for that price.

Since you are a DVC member you are able to enter the park at 2:00, We don't do any parks on our "Party day".

You can split up and let the kids ride rides and meet up somewhere and watch the fireworks (10pm) and second parade (11pm). Enjoy what you like and let the others enjoy what they like. That gives them a good 7 hours of riding time.
