MVMCP lines

I've read on another board or mailing list to not count on going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to save time in lines; that it is usually more crowded than during the day. That is exactly what my dw plans for our December 05 trip.

Has that been the experience of people here that have been to MVMCP?

The several times I have gone most of the rides were walk ons or very short. If you are going on the weekend then yes it will be more crowded.

We will be there on a weekday, but, from the list of projected MVMCP dates I saw somewhere, I think it is the last day. Lines may be longer because of that.

lines were longer last year than MNSSHP, but still very manageable. tomorrowland was the busiest, they only had one side of Space going and Stitch had just opened.

It was very busy before the first parade, esp. in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland - comparable to early-mid afternoon at the park that day - and quiet after it. DH took our 16-month-old back to the hotel room while 4-year-old and I got to do everything we wanted with virtually no waiting. We went on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 and look forward to doing it again on a Tuesday this year.

I was wondering the same thing. Looking at the projected dates, we would either go on Sunday, Dec. 18th or Tuesday, Dec. 20th. I don't know which, if either, would be less crowded since these are the last two nights of the party. :confused3

The shortest lines are right after 7:00. We always head over to Tomorrowland for the 6:00 to 7:00 period and then into Fantasyland at 7:00, everything is walk-on including Pooh & Peter Pan (never see that during the day). They allow admission after 4:00 with just your MVMCP ticket, usually short lines then. The lines get longer after the first parade.

Considering that was the exact opposite of our experience, it must vary from night to night. :confused3 Also, we had the first CP seating and exited to HUGE crowds in Tomorrowland - to us it seemed that most people knew they could enter early.

OP: guess you will see uncrowded ride time during SOME part of the night. :earboy2: Whatever way it goes, MVMCP is wonderful and worthwhile.

We went the Sunday night, the second weekend of the month this past year. It was not too crowded, but the crowd really thinned out after wishes and the parade #1. Fun night!

We were pleasantly surprised on Thursday, December 16 (next to the last MVMCP 2004) when we walked onto most rides, short lines for photos and just a great time!!!

We went to MVMCP this past December and found the lines to be very long waits... at least in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. We went on a TUESDAY night. Were very surprised at the crowd levels!
