I am really confused. We are going on 12/4 ONLY for MVMCP. I have read that 'typically' they let you in ~4PM even though it doesn't officially start til 7pm. Since this is our only night there we want to make the most of it but with 2 young kids along I don't want to be turned away at 4pm for a few hours! I tried to make a PS inside MK but they said it's not possible without a day pass since we 'technically'aren't allowed into the park til 7. Help please!!! ( I have also read they did early entry in past years...but not doing it this year.or at least it's not guaranteed.)

It is my understanding you can enter the park after 4pm for a priority seating with your MVMCP ticket but cannot roam the park. They will escort you to the restaurant and you will have to either stay there until the park opens completely or leave and come back. You only have to have a day pass if you go in before 4. Please correct me if I am wrong!

I have read on this board by many posters (just back from MNNSHP) that they were let in with just their party tickets, given wristbands for the parks, then at park closing everyone with wristbands was escorted to Tomorrowland while the rest of the park was cleared.
You can make a PS- the front gates will have a list of PS #'s to let you in the park, but they would probably just give you your wristbands then. I'm sure you'll hear back from others on this. I'm going on the 30th, and plan on arriving @5.

I work on Main Street and the above post is correct. You can enter the park anytime after 4pm with just your MVMCP ticket (you do not need a Priority seating). When you enter (anytime after 4pm) you will get a wristband that shows that you are there for the party. When the park officially closes at 6pm (to the day guests) everyone with a wrsitband will be asked to go to either Fantasyland or Tomorrowland (that changes sometimes), the rides will be open in that area for you to enjoy until the park is cleared of the day guests. Once the park is cleared (or 7pm, which ever comes first) the entire park will be opened for you to enjoy.

The reason they are allowing you in as early as 4pm (and not publicizing that) is that with the new security measures in place the front entrance would be a nightmare if they held everyone there until 7pm. Bag check would be overwhelming and the turnstiles would be too if everyone showed up at the same time. If they start allowing you in at 4pm they get more of a trickle and not a bombardment.

I know that you stated you are only coming for the party, but in case anyone else is reading this, if you are already in the park (for the day) you can trade your party tickets in with the CM's for a wristband anytime after 4pm. The CM's isuing wristbands are usually in the Hub section of the park (by the castle) as well as the front entrance anytime after 4pm).

Thank you so much for clearing it up. I just wish the people that I talked to on the phone knew so much. I'm sure we can't get the PS now-we're going on Thurs. But the CM I talked to checked with 2 people and said we would NOT be able to eat at a restaurant unless we had the day pass. So I guess we'll try going early and picking up some lite fare.
Thanks!!!

Our experience last year was just as LibertyBelle described. We arrived about 4:30, used our MVMCP tickets, got our wristbands. We did not have a PS and were not asked if we did. We walked over into Adventureland and Frontierland and watched the 6:00 fireworks from Fantasyland (according to the schedule they will not have 6:00 fireworks this year). Then headed to Tomorrowland until 7:00.

They have done it this way the past 2 years (2001, 2002). Before that they were more strict, they completely cleared the park, the party did not start until 8:00. You couldn't get in early but could stay with a PS.

The first party is tonight, maybe someone will post tomorrow about their experiences.

This is my first post. :earsgirl:

We went to MNSSHP on Oct 24. We were let in at 4pm with our tickets and were given wristbands. We did not have PS. Our friends we were with said this was common for the Parties and other special events (one was a CM) After we got into the park we were able to ride most of the rides in Fantasyland with very little wait because people were already starting to leave the park knowing it closed at 6. Right after 6pm CMs started ushering those of us with wristbands into Tomorrowland. We actually sat down and ate dinner until 7 -- the sad thing is I can't recall where we ate but their was an alien singing on the inside. LOL

Great first post Fab Five! I am so hoping the crowds start to thin near closing. At first I was disappointed they cancelled the 6 o'clock fireworks, but now I am grateful.
LibertyBelle- do you know which fireworks they will be showing during MVMCP?

Just wanted to ad that if your not planning to eat at a sit down restaurant with a PS you may want to eat early. There were no counter service restaurants open and we had planned to do counter service. Just an FYI.

Everything I have seen for Cast Members and on the online sites say that it will be "Wishes" With a Holiday twist. They previously did "Fantasy in the Sky" with a holiday twist, I presume the "holiday twist" will be the same but so far everything says it will be Wishes... First party is Sunday night Nov 30 so we will know for sure then :)

Do you think maybe lots of people are being told no early entry and no PS available until party time without day passes because they are trying to discourage too many early entries... or have they changed the policy for this year's MVMCP?
