MVMCP for adults only?

It's been a decade or two since we've visited at Christmas-ish time so we've never had the opportunity to go to MVMCP. What do you think of it from an adults-only perspective?

My Wife and I have done it twice now.

As well as the shows, characters, parade and fireworks, it's great to jump on some rides without it being too busy! Walked on most things :)

I did this with my father last December. It was perfectly fine. We spent the day at MK riding a few rides that he could do. Then when the MVMCP started we just watched the various shows from the hub and then the parade. Once the parade was over, he left the park to go back to the hotel and I stayed and rode rides.

I did the MNSSHP last October by myself. Basically did the same as the MVMCP - saw the shows and rode rides.

You have so many options on how to spend your time at MVMCP. Go and have fun!

My sister and I have done MNSSHP once and MVMCP twice and are planning on our third Christmas Party in December.

We really enjoy it !

It is nighttime, so on hot days the worst of the heat is gone, no sun bearing down. Downside is it can be cold (we bring hat, scarf, mits and and extra layer just in case). We also appreciate the lower crowds.

We like rides with little to no wait and mostly do the rides, watch the parade and fireworks and maybe catch another show or "street" event. My sister likes the adventure with the cards, so we get the party card for that. We'll grab the holiday snack and drink once or twice. if we do a character meet and greet it is usually just one, as we can see most of them on the cruise that is part of the same trip.

DH and I went in 2014 (it was cold!). We met Jack Skellington in his Sandy Claus costume (he started greeting early, around 6 PM) and the 7 Dwarfs. We watched some shows and the parade; rode some rides, had a good time. We will be there in Oct this year and I am thinking of taking him to the Halloween party, haven't decided yet.

I've gone several times solo and a few times with my adult friends at WDW and all my experiences have been fun. I've also attended MVMCP at Disneyland for the past several years since I live local. The last time I went to WDW for the MVMCP was to see the final year of the Osborne Lights. I find that the parks decorated for the holidays is probably the best time to go plus some of the rides have a holiday makeover such as Jingle Jungle Cruise, Small Word or Nightmare Before Christmas (Haunted Mansion at Disneyland) I would suggest checking out some of the deluxe resorts for their holiday decorations (My favorite is Animal Kingdom Villas).

I enjoy both the Halloween and Christmas parties for the special shows and events.

My DH and I did it and it was fantastic. We are also pretty much just big kids, though.

We thought that sipping hot cocoa while it snowed on Main St USA was pretty darn romantic. It was a great night. As others have said, good character photo ops, short wait times, an AMAZING parade. Go for it!

Went once alone to the Christmas party. There's less people compared to the day so shorter lines. I mainly went because I was running out of things to do at Disney and wanted to try something different. At that time they had free cookies, apples, hot chocolate, and hot cider which I'm not sure they still do. The parade and separate shows were cute. I'm not really much for Magic Kingdom and don't plan on going back there unless they do some pretty big changes like a Pandora level change. I do like walking around late at night when it's dark and hardly anyone there near closing. They outdo themselves on decorations but those are there during regular hours too.
