I haven't been to Mk Fireworks in a long time. The new (for me anyway) gardens.. there's two of them (one on each side)? and one is reserved for the dessert parties? If so, which one is reserved and how early would I need to show up on the other one?

Looking for a fairly good spot for a family (11 and 7 year old girls) where I don't have to show up too early. Going to a MVMCP on 12/13.

The garden spots are taken early. If going for those I'd say about an hour or more in advance

Darn. Where would you recommend as a good 'bang for the buck' place to get a spot without having to wait too long?

(and for my reference regardless - which side is the one reserved for dessert party folks?)

I can't speak as to a good last minute spot as I normally do the dessert party to watch Wishes. But, I do know that that reserved garden viewing area is on the right when facing the castle.

Your thread title says "Christmas." Are you going Christmas week? Are you doing one of the Christmas parties and looking for a place? Are you just going some time in December and seeing regular Wishes? You need different advice for each of those scenarios, so which one is you?

(anyway I can update title to reduce confusion?).

You can edit the Title of a thread that you posted.

1. Open your first post.

2. To the upper-right, click "Thread Tools."

thank you sir!

Also - that's a great picture of the view spots. I'm guessing the paved areas surrounding the hub that aren't highlighted are areas the CMs keep clear for foot traffic?

Yup.

Neither of the gardens are used for the dessert party during MVMCP. The dessert party is held completely at the Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant on party nights. We have never had an issue finding a "last minute" spot in the gardens (both on regular and non-party nights). It's our go-to spot as many folks don't realize they are open to the public. Arrive 30-45 minutes in advance (45 if a sold out party) and you should be fine.
