MVMCP - Discount Tix Question

Can I use my DVC discount to buy tickets for others if I'm not buying tickets for myself. I already bought my tickets using a military discount - not through DVC and I'd like to buy tickets for our friends that are coming with us, but staying in a room they are paying for themselves.

The only discount ticket DVC members get is a discount on the AP and you can buy that for anyone living in the members household only. All adults need an id with that address on it to get them.

• Specially priced tickets are available to Disney Vacation Club Members for the events on 11/8, 11/9, 11/,11, 11/13, 11/15, 11/29, 11/30, 12/4 and 12/6 only.
• Specially priced tickets MUST be purchased in ADVANCE and are not available on-site or on the day of the event.
• Disney Vacation Club Members may purchase discounted tickets for themselves and up to five (5) Guests.

You should be able to get your friends military discount tickets at shades of green. It has been a while since I have done it that way but it was never a problem. The Disney store also has discount tickets

I'm not looking to buy park tickets. My question is about Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

My FIL already purchased tickets for myself and my family using his military discount. I am not eligible to buy them myself. I am an AP holder and a DVC member, though. Those are the discounts that I am looking to use.

I believe you can get the discount tickets for your friends even if you are not getting one for yourself as long as the total tickets bought don't come to more than the ones you are allowed under the discount. If you can't but them without getting one for yourself (the military party tickets don't have names on them and aren't used at all yet) so have your friend pay for the number of tickets your entire party will need and use one of those as yours and let someone from his family user the military one that was bought for you. In reality no one will care who uses which tickets for the party as long as everyone uses them.

Yes, you would have to pick them up and show your member card. MVMCP tickets do not have names on them so it doesn't matter which one you use.

Do you think that DH and I could each get 6 party tickets? The rules say "DVC Members" and we are both members. And since we are both AP holders could we also buy discounted party tickets as AP members? We need 18 tickets for our group.

I called Disney (not Member Services) and had no problem purchasing 4 tickets. Since the party tickets do not have names on them (which I didn't realize when I posted the question), it's no problem buying for other people, as long as I am the one picking them up at the Will Call window at any of the 4 theme parks.

Wait...are you saying that your FIL already bought MVMCP using his military discount? I have been told several times that I can only but these tickets the day of...no advance tickets. Can you tell me how he did this and where he got them from?
