MVMCP Dinner

Hi Everyone!

We just bought tickets for our first MVMCP! From everything I've read, we should be able to get into MK at 4pm for the 7pm party start. We're not planning on doing a different park that day, as we're going to resort hop around the WL, PVB, GF, and Contemporary. Any tips on where to eat? We're looking for table service.

I'm going to try and get a 5pm BOG before the party starts but I'm sure I'll need a plan B !

We're doing Crystal Palace. Otherwise maybe just a late lunch somewhere like Chef Mickey's, Grand Floridian Cafe?

I would try for an early meal in the MK if possible. We generally try to plan dinner by 5 PM at BOG or LTT.

WE also like a meal at Kona before the party. If you are hopping anyway, why not schedule a late lunch at any of the monorail resorts, and then you can get into the park at 4 PM, and maybe snack or have a quick CS meal once you are inside for the party.

When DH & I went to the party 2 years ago, we had a 4:30 dinner at The Palace and it worked out wonderfully. We got our party bands right after, jumped on a few rides, parked it on a bench for about 30 min and then...the party started. If we had waited any longer, we would have been finishing as the party started. There is SO Much to do and if you want meet & greats with the rare characters, those lines start at least an hour before the party. Eating earyly if you can will help you tackle the things you really want to do during the party.

I've been to the MNSSHP and the strategy is similar. I switched my dining up to allow for more time in the MK. I chose to do my TS "big" meal at lunch at DIS Springs (or you could go to a resort like the Poly) and then entered MK right at 4pm. I arrived by 3:40pm & got in the party entrance line. I did whatever party merch shopping I wanted to do quickly on my way up Main Street, got in 1 of my FP+ rides at Pirates and then had a quick, tasty fast dinner at Columbia Harbour House. I was ready by 5:15pm to start to enjoy the party atmosphere of the park and fit in the rest of my FP+ rides. NB you can book your early FP+ from 4pm to 6pm and get a ride on 7DMT, HM, etc. Personally, I wouldn't spend time eating a TS in MK on my party day as your time is precious at MK and even though the party doesn't officially start until 7pm, those 3 extra hrs are golden.
