O.K. probably a dumb question...

Is there any benefit to making dining reservations for MVMCParty?

Would it be easier to eat before going into the park for the evening or are there other reasons behind the reservations?

If so, are there any suggestions on when and where?

Do they let you walk around before and after the reservations even if the party hasn't started?

Do you get to get in lines for pictures, parade or rides earlier?

Also if anyone else has any other "tips" about the party please HELP... we will be going the 18th of Dec.

Thanks for the info...

Ooopps...
I also wanted to ask too..

Is this a reservation that you can use the DDE discount? or is this a prepaid "package" deal?

Thanks again..

OK, haven't been yet, but this is what I have been told by many MVMCP "experts":

First of all the dining is not a package. They just let you make AR's early as opposed to waiting until 90 days. Therefore DDE is accepted.

My thinking on the AR at LTT is this: We gotta eat anyway. If we come to the park at 4:00, I have heard that they tell all party goers to head into Tomorrowland while they clean out the park of other guests. I for one, do not want to be herded into TL with only a few attractions for everyone to ride. So, I made my AR at 5:55, five minutes before they start herding everyone into TL. We are fast eaters, even with characters, so we should be walking out of LTT close to 7:00 when the party starts. (I plan on being at LTT by 5:30 so we don't get a late seating, hopefully a little early) When the party starts at 7:00, most of the party goers will be at the opposite side of the park, so we will get our picture done in LS, do HM and head into Fantasyland to ride through the first showing of the parade.

I know, too structured and it probably won't work out as well as I think it will, but I have had good luck in the past with my "commando" planning episodes, so we'll see!

O.K. great... I think I get it?!

So it seems that there are only reservations at certain restaurants then?

And other than $$ is there any other decision making factors?

Thanks again....

After you finish eating...if it is before the party starts, then what?
Do you get "herded" into the crowds back in Tomorrowland?

By the way how early can you get the photos taken and where do they take them?

Well, we decided on LTT because we have never been and that's one that I really wanted to fit in, so what better time?!

I know that Tony's is now taking PS's and I have heard mention of Crystal Palace and CRT and as a matter of fact, someone mentioned the Plaza too, so it's a possibility that they all will be open, but that seems unlikely to me. I guess we'll have to wait until 90 days out to be sure.

I think if you are done eating before the party starts, you have to go to Tomorrowland because nothing is open. Pictures start at 7:00, earlier in Tomorrowland. I guess between 6 and 7 is when they are getting everything set up in the other parts of the park and making sure all non-wrist banded people are out. There are picture taking stations in several places, but I know the one in Liberty Square is by the Hall of Presidents. Looks like there is one in Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland as well.

I am looking at a map from last year. I got it off another site, but I don't know if I can post a link here or not. Maybe this site has one somewhere??

Hi mscastel,

Last year at MVMCP my family had ps for 4:45 @CP. That time worked out GREAT!!!! It let us eat and enjoy the meal rather than worry about the start time of the evening. When we entered the MK (I think around 4pm) we were able to get our wrist bands for the party. Hope this hepls you and have a GREAT TIME!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info!

You guys are great!! And full of great info....

Thank you for sharing! :cheer2:

I am guessing that I should go ahead and plan on AR..
However, I am confused (a little) Can I book the dining now? or do I have to wait for the 90 day mark?

I booked my LTT dinner last Saturday. Not sure about the other restaurants.

I called about 3 hours ago and reserved LTT for 5:45 pm (earliest seating left for Dec. 8) and was told only LTT and Tony's are available for MVMCP dates so far.
