We will be at WDW Dec 4-11. I have our first night booked at BLT and I am waitlisted for Dec 5-8. The rest of the week we will be at AKV.

I called to buy my MVMCP tickets as well as the Wishes Dessert Party and the CM talked me into doing both on the same night - Dec 9th. The Wishes Dessert Party is about an hour and starts at 8:30 pm.

Did I make a mistake by planning both on the same night? I was reluctant, but the CM talked me into it.

I was thinking that if my waitlist comes through, I'd rather be at BLT if we are going to do one or both of those events. Should I have booked the MVMCP for Dec 7th and Wishes Dec 9th? Or both on the 7th?

Need opinions. It's just me and my DS5.

TIA!

You would only be able to do the Wishes Dessert Party on the 9th if you have a MVMCP ticket for that night. It's held after regular park closing that night (7:00). MVMCP for December 7 is not a discount night.

That's not what the cast member told me. She said I could get in with my Wishes Dessert Party ticket. This CM appears to have given me a lot of misinformation!

No, you have to have MVMCP admission to go on MVMCP nights. There isn't even a "ticket" for the dessert party, it's just a reservation, like any ADR. When a friend & I went last year, she surprised me by booking it as a birthday present. We went up to the podium and they couldn't find our reservation! She make the reservation so she gave her name but our room was booked under my name so they put the dessert party res under my name! We were panicing until I said try under my name. We really enjoyed it.

One can't do Wishes Dessert Party on nights there is MVMCP unless one has a ticket to said MVMCP party. :)

:) I don't think it was a mistake. You will enjoy both experiences very much. I would definitely go to the MVMCP early at 4 p.m. with your ticket for that. That will give you some time to get rides out of the way so you can enjoy the parades and Special Holiday Wishes. I think if you did that you would get more bang for your buck.

Do both and have a great time...be done with it and enjoy your BLT the other nights if your WL comes through. DH and I will be attending 3, yep 3 MVMCP this year and all with his Mom. We will be down 12/01-12/10. When looking at the park hours, we couldn't see leaving a park at 8-9 p.m. and just standing around the resort. So we are getting the extra hours at MK along with snow on Main Street. I sit worth the money. Yes, to us it is. I mean we could have spent $57 on a nice dinner...but we made a choice based on what I thought would be going on in the parks. I might be doing laundry at 2 a.m. (we are in a studio)...but it IS LAUNDRY AT DISNEY!!:banana:
