MVMCP Dates RELEASED!!!

So there will be FOUR parties in the span of my planned SEVEN night trip at WDW? I guess I will have no choice to go to one, to at least experience it. Are the parties worth it?

Also, do they still have the regular Wishes during the holiday time, even when it is not a night with a MVMCP? Can you book a fireworks dessert party on a night with MVMCP (I understand you would still have to have a ticket to get into the party)?

Worth is subjective. ;) If it's worth it to you to see the Christmas parade, Holiday Wishes, holiday stage shows, and meet and greets that aren't available outside the parties, then go for it!

They do have regular Wishes on nights when the party isn't taking place. I think they have the dessert party on party nights, but I'm not sure.

Can one of you party experts help me with a quick question? Is it true that the last day of the party is free...if so, does anyone know what date that falls on this year (we'd love to check it out, but our little guy passes out at 8, so we are not at the ticket-buying stage just yet) :)

I don't know anything about the last night being free; in fact I believe it usually sells out?

The last party isn't free; like Ceryssa said, it will most likely sell out. (I can't imagine the logistics of trying to do a free party; it would most likely be a madhouse.) However, after the last party (which is December 18), they run the Christmas parade and Holiday Wishes during regular park hours, which mean that you can see them without paying to go to the party, which may have been the context in which you heard the word "free".

There are never "free" MVMCPs. But, if you wait until December 19th to visit MK, you'll be able to watch the Christmas parade, Celebrate the Season Castle stage show, and Totally Tomorrowland stage show for "free" as they run daily at least until December 31st.

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for- the parade! Thank you both very much :)!

The last Halloween party is on November 1st so you can actually time it to where you go for a long week and hit both parties as well as hit up the Food and Wine Festival. That's kind of cool. I dislike how early the parties end. It seems to me that it would make sense to have them go at least until Christmas if not up to Epiphany. No one asked me, though.

This is what we are doing

I'm psyched the party schedule on Veterans Day week is Sun, Tue, Thu, Fri. (Rather than typical M,Th,Fri). Will let us us start with MK on Sun, our first park day, with lower than usual crowds.

Picking a date 11/10 (tue) 11/12 (thu) or 11/13 (fri), on Veterans Day week party. Never been. Would like to pick a lower crowd, non sold out party. From a prior touring plans blog they suggest picking a Tuesday's or before Thanksgiving. I'm guessing they would suggest:

Tue 11/10 > Thu 11/12 > Fri 11/13.

Thu or Fri works a bit better for our schedule though. Any thoughts or suggestions?

One day when I don't have to worry about pulling my daughter from school, I'm gonna plan a trip that includes the last Halloween party and the first Christmas party!

I have been reading everything I can about the Christmas Party. I hope things go pretty smooth. I have my heart set on meeting SANDY CLAWS.

We're doing exactly that this year! Flying out Oct. 31 and staying until Nov. 9 to hit both parties. I wasn't sure it would work at first with the 1st MVMCP being on a Sunday instead of Saturday but our kids have 2 days scheduled off that first week so even with coming home the following Monday to hit the first MVMCP they will only miss 4 days of school :)

The MVMCP has always started the first friday of November and a lot of people were anticipating going Nov 6th. Instead they are starting it on Sunday. I absolutely love this party and it is the only event I would actually pay the additional cost to go to. It has been the highlight of my trips and in 2014, the night of our party was not sold out and the park was just empty and made it so much more enjoyable! Waiting for April now. I like choosing and settling on a date right away and purchasing the day they go on sale.. waiting for the tickets in the mail adds to the excitement and cures the pain of waiting for the trip a bit.

I'm one of those people who assumed it would be starting Friday. I was so disappointed when they announced it wouldn't start until the 8th. We go home the 8th and there is no way to extend our trip.

I would have been so disappointed also. Same thing with MNSSHP starting on the 15th instead of the 1st of Sept... Lots of disappointed people. Sorry you're going to miss it.

My DD had been part of a few MVMCP casts for the parade and also a stage show and noted that Tuesdays usually had the lightest crowds. With Wednesday being Veterans Day, the Thursday and Friday Parties may be more crowded and possibly sell out.

Even with sold out Parties, once you are away from Main Street and the Hub you'll experience lesser crowds and shorter ride lines than on a typical MK day.
