MVMCP confusion?

Help, explain this to me!

According to Disney's website Disneyworld is open from 9-6pm on Nov 28th which is also listed to be a MVMCP night. I'm wondering if it is busier in general compared to a regular day or just like a normal day until the events start. We are hoping to avoid the crowds and are not going to the event. Can I stay until 6pm and then leave while everyone start the events? Would you avoid that day if you weren't going to the event? We are staying on site and it is the early entry day so want to spend most of the day there, but if it will be super busy due to the event we will leave by lunch. Any suggestions?

Also, for some reason Nov 29th is not listed as a MVMCP night, but is open much later than usual 9-9. The days around it the park is closing at 7pmish so don't know why it is open so that that one night, but not the others. I know the week of Tday it is open more hours, but this I am confused by.

Any ideas/input?

I don't know about the crowds on the day of the party, but as for the day MK is open til 9pm, it seems like there is one late day a week during a slow season. I am going the first week in December and MK is going to be open til 9pm on Monday the 6th and Spectro Magic is also going that night so that's probably part of it too....even though Specto is also another night, but at 6pm. I think Disney is just putting a bonus late day at MK in the week for us during the slower times.

We are leaving on Wed for WDW. My plan is to go to MK during the day when I know the party is that night. I'm not attending the party either. Like you, I am also hoping there won't be any crowds as most will go at night.

Although I have been reading on this board a lot of people are going to MK about 4:00. Even though the party doesn't start until 7:00. So I'm going to just play it by ear and see when the crowds start to build and leave at that point.

We'll be there the same time frame. I'm hoping that Sunday will be a little less crowded with a lot of people going home after Thanksgiving trips. That Sunday looks like it will be our first day in MK, after arriving on Thanksgiving Day!! Let's hope that Sunday is a big travel home day!!!

we will be attending the Party on Tuesday the 7th but attending MK during that day also....might as well get a MK sensory overload....we will also attend AK on monday and them hop to MK to see Spectro as we have never seen it....

November 29 is not a MVMCP night so it will be open from 9am to 9pm. That is the night that they will be running Spectro and Wishes for the regular day guests (they usually have one night a week for Spectro during the slower season). Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parties are November 28 & 30, December 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, & 17.

As far as the parks during the day of the parties. It is not really busy until about 4pm. Guests attending the party are able to get into the park as early as 4pm with their party ticket so that is when you will start seeing it get busier, since you will have the overlap of day guests and party guests. Up until then it is fairly slow at MK.

Thanks for the help, I was bewildered!

I'm happy to see there is one late night during the slow time, I had thought it was a typo and I couldn't make sense if it. Let it to my fellow Disers to help out as always, thanks : )
