MVMCP - Best night of the week to book...

We are going next week 14-17. I'm just now thinking I'll buy tickets to one of the party dates. There's one on Sunday dec 14 and another on Wednesday dec 16. Any suggestions on which night might be less crowded?

The 16th is a Tuesday and normally would be better than a Sunday. TP seems to agree.

Doesn't really seem like there is a better day anymore. I have seen a lot of dates sell out now that we are in December. I would expect all the dates to sell out next week, so I would buy your tickets early if you want to go.

Doesn't TP base their recommendations for party dates based on ride wait times though? Since most people who go to the parties don't make riding the rides a priority (since you can do that doing normal park hours), that doesn't seem like a very good way to determine best party dates.

Think about the locals. Most locals who would be inclined to go do not go on a Sunday or weekday. They have to work the next day, right?

Now there may be the occasional local who plans a mini-cation where they book hotels/take off time so they can go to the Sunday (we have done that in the past) or weekend parties, but the vast majority go on Friday or Saturday.

So, IMHO - any day but Friday and Saturday should be good with Sunday bring the best.

Buy your tickets sooner rather than later. There were plenty of disappointed people when the parties this week sold out a day or two (or more) in advance.

We were there the same night. DD was very sure that a Tuesday wouldn't sell out.....an hour after we purchased our tix, it sold out!!

Attended party Tuesday, December 2nd. Horribly crowded - will not attend again for many years; they just let in too many people!!! And, it wasn't even sold out!

I went to two parties this past week, both sold out. The best advice I can give is to avoid Main Street as much as humanly possible. It feels like there's hardly anyone else in the rest of the park.
