MVMCP - best day to go?

I have two options for MVMCP 18th or 19th December - any advice as to which to opt for gratefully received

Those are two of the last parties so they'll probably be equally busy.

No, Fridays are generally more crowded, because more locals go then. There might not be too much difference between the 18th and 19th with them being the last two parties, but I would still go with the 18th.

are those the last two parties? If so, I would choose the 18th. We will be going to that one too. We went to the second to last party last year and it was fine and I do not think it was sold out.

I have always heard Fridays are more crowded due to locals coming to the parties as well. We had our choice of Thursday, Friday, and Sunday for this year, and we chose Thursday and Sunday because of this.

Plus the 19th is the last party of the year, so that is probably going to

1) Be full to ticket capacity
2) and sell out before most of the other parties.

The 19th would be our only day we can do the party its our arrival day but we will be there early so start time won't be an issue. Would you skip it or is it still worth it? We've not done MVMCP but have done MNSSHP. It will be me and DS who will be 8.

I've done a sold out Halloween party before and found wait times to be pretty comparable to September wait times during the day - mostly 20 minutes, a little longer for headliners. So pretty tolerable. I don't know, however, if they sell more tickets for the last parties that are expected to sell out.

In general, any weekend night will be busier than a week night. I'd avoid Friday, but its possible both could sell out.

We want to go either November 13 or 14 (also Thursday or Friday), and currently some sites still show morning EMH for Thursday at MK. Is that likely not accurate? Would that have any effect at all on crowd size? Or will it not matter bc it is so early?

At least for MNSSHP, that early hour seems to be "wasted." It's typically not enough to draw resort people to the MK with the early close. However, when you have a Thursday discounted party followed by a Friday non-discounted party like that, I'd take the Friday party over the Thursday one. It's going to be the discount that pulls people to the Thursday party, not the EMH.

I know people say that Friday parties are busier because more locals attend, but Friday parties also aren't discounted, and the discounts really seem to pull people in. When we've attended Friday parties, they seem to be less crowded than other parties. When there is a Thursday discounted party followed by a Friday non-discounted party, the Friday non-discounted party will likely be less crowded. I think the notable exception to this general rule is the last MVMCP...it will be more crowded than the Thursday party the day before, and will likely sell out a week or more in advance. It's essentially equivalent to the MNSSHP that falls on Halloween...it's really the only party you have to worry about selling out very far (i.e., more than a week) in advance.

We will be at Disney from December 12-20th, and will go to the party on our first Sunday. If we decide to do a second party (doubtful) I'd pick the 18th over the 19th for the reasons stated above.
