MVMCP and dining reservation question

I have a dining reservation for LTT at 7:05 on the night of the MVMCP. I was going to buy our MVMCP tickets ahead of time, but my husband said that we should wait until we get to Disney to buy the tickets in case it is supposed to be raining that night or if it is sold out (because we won't go if it is crazy crowded). If it is and we don't go to the party that night, will be be able to eat at 7:05 or will they ask for our tickets? What if we get there at 6:30? I will try to get a reservation for earlier but in the meatime I would like to know how they handle those situations. Thanks!

If you have an ADR for 7:05 for a hard ticket event and have no ticket, they will not let you dine past 6:55.

If you do buy tickets for the party that night, I would cancel that reservation. I wouldn't want to spend all that money on party tickets and then miss the first 1.5-2 hours in a restaurant. IMO, if you go to the party, do a CS btwn 4 and 7 and that way you won't miss any time you are paying a premium for.

If you don't go to the party, I don't think you can have a 7:05 reservation without party tickets.

Either way, cancel the ressie. Either you wont be able to use it (because of no ticket) or you wont want to use it (because of missed party time).

If you don't purchase tickets for MVMCP you can still keep your ADR because I am sure you would check-in for it before 7:05 PM and since it would be before 7:00 PM the Cast Members can't make you leave the Magic Kingdom. However once your meal is finished then you would need to leave right away.
