MVMCP and CP Dinner at 4pm - Will they let me in park?

I have PS for Crystal Palace at 4pm. We are attending Christmas Party that night. Will they let me in the park around 3:45pm to get to my PS without having to pay park admission? I just spoke to Disney Dining people and they said "In the past years they would let you in, but this year they are not". Do you think that is true or just mumbo jumbo?

I would like to know as well. How do they really know. They are only given a script so to speak. Honestly once you get there most everyone is nice and not as rigid as the people answering the Disney Dining phones. I am not being critical on them as I am sure they are just doing their jobs. It is just an observation.

That's what we were initially told by Disney staff (maybe not Dining, but some division) when we got our tickets to MVMCP last year. We went to retrieve our tickets at Guest Relations at MK once we arrived, and the CM there gave us all the info we needed.

For the record, last year, they started to admit people at 4pm, and they gave you wristbands. They instructed you to stay in Tomorrowland until party time, which gives them time to herd people out and clean up the park. I would suggest checking with Guest Relations (I would try MK if you can) once you arrive. That's the most solid confirmation you can get, and then plan from there?

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining trying to make a PS for CP. There was availablilty but they said they would not guarantee that I could come in to the park with a MVMCP ticket before 7 p.m. and that the people on the Disboards who said I could were WRONG.

can anyone make this clearer?
i specificly made ressies for a very dinner at CP also for the same reason, to get into the park early for the party......
we dont want to use a day of our hoppers for 2 hrs before the party......

I bet they'll let people in early (by 4pm). I'll just have to see what I can do to get in before 4 so that I can be at CP for 4pm. Everything I've read says they will let you in at 4pm. Even my tourguidemike.com information.

For what it's worth, we got in a 4:00 last year and we did not have a PS until 5:45 We were told that with our PS to LTT we could get in at 5:30 but LTT has a special dinner PS for MVMCP nights so not sure about CP.

Probably about 10 min. That's taking it easy.

Of course, everything Disney is subject to change, but for the past 2 - 3 years they have been letting party goers in AFTER 4:00p with just their party tickets regardless of whether you have a PS or not.

They started doing this when they changed the party start time from 8:00 to 7:00 with only one hour to clear the park out (they used to close for 2 hours, from 6:00 to 8:00). They did this (letting people in AFTER 4:00p) so that not everyone is entering the park right at 7:00p so they won't be overwhelmed.

Anyway, I believe they will, indeed, let people in AFTER 4:00p again this year with just your party tickets and there are just a few CMs who don't know about this party procedure.

IMHO, I would change my PS to later than 4:00p if I didn't want to use my park hopper. Trying to get in BEFORE 4:00p without using a park hopper is really pushing it, IMHO. We are already getting an extra 3 hours (beyond the party hours of 7:00 - Midnight) to enjoy MK by them letting us in AFTER 4:00p.

Yes, you should be fine. You'll have a good 15 minutes to get to your restaurant.

Just be at the gates for 4:00p.

OK. I'll probably change mine. It's at 4pm right now. I'm going to try to make it later. Worse case, I'll just keep my LTT PS for 5:30. Thanks for the info!
