For those who went to the Christmas party in 2023 and went in prior years before the world went stupid, did you feel MVMCP returned to what it was originally?

Some people I know were there last month and said it changed, did not feel like Christmas and a lot was cut out, but when I asked for specifics they kept saying "it just was not the same".

For those who did it, I would like to hear your thoughts.

I've been to MVMCP many times both pre- and post-covid, including last year and I thought last year's party was fantastic! Shows were great, ride overlays, tons of cookies/cocoa - we had an amazing time!
You did not feel like things were "missing"?

When I asked the people I know (family) why they felt it changed, I asked if there were less characters and they said "no". I asked if rides were closed and they said "no". I asked if they cut out the parade and/or fireworks and they said "no". They did say the snacks were not that great, which is not surprising, because that started years ago. Best snacks we found was back in 2017ish when they had pretzels, slushes, 5 or 6 different types of cookies, chocolates and various drinks.

No, I didn't think anything was missing. Yes, I remember when they had the slushes, pretzels, etc. They only had cookies/cocoa this past year. I never felt the free snacks were very good anyway. We do like the fact that they are packaged now, however. My friend and I asked for two cookies each at each location (instead of a cookie and cocoa) and she then stocked her freezer with what we collected because she liked the cookies! I thought that was nice perk, actually. We also loved the ornament they handed out this year. The main stage show was fantastic and the parade and fireworks were wonderful as usual. We also really enjoyed the ride overlays. We are already planning to go again this December!

I heard the DIS Unlimited guys say they felt the beverage and cookie options were limited. But honestly, as much as I love my pockets full of those ginger cookies, its not the thing that will break the event for me.

Was the ornament included in the ticket price?

Thank you for the feedback. :)

We went to MVMCP in 2019 and just this past 2023. The only thing that's missing this year that was there in 2019 was Tony's town square party during the party with reserved parade viewing. We loved that! Otherwise, both parties were fun!

I appreciate all of the comments. We are booked for December. I will be doing the party solo, which will be a little odd and a first for me, but even with the high cost, I am looking forward to it. Glad to hear it has fully returned.

For us, the party will never be the same without VoicePlay performing. I know that's dramatic but we LOVED them and we still sing some of the songs to each other at times. (I can't find my car. Did I park in Scar? Don't wanna walk that far....)

Anyways, I haven't been post-covid so I know that won't help you but I just felt I needed to comment anyways! lol....

I guess that will not bother me, because I have no idea who that is. :)

EDIT
I looked it up on YouTube. That is not my thing, so I am guessing that is why I was not aware of who they are. They sounds like every other nasally boy band out there. :duck:But, we all have different memories of what makes vacations special, so I get it.
