MVMCP 2011 Thread

I'm pretty sure what it means is that you can go to AK in the am - and then just use your party ticket to do the Christmas party in the PM. You wouldn't use your base ticket at all.

We are doing the Christmas party and probably going on a day when we don't have any other ticket.

Yes. You don't need any ticket other than the party ticket to enter the MK after 4p. Your base MYW or any other ticket is not part of the equation at all.

My family and I are planning to attend the Nov 27th party and we presently have base tickets, thus I was planning to go to MK on that day and purchase the Christmas party tickets separetly as required. However I read this on another site and am now confused,

"In the past, the tickets have been good for admission beginning at 4pm. You may also use a day on your Magic Your Way Ticket, your Annual Pass, or another ticket form to enter the Park for the whole day if you like. Some people forgo the Park Hopper upgrade and purchase the Christmas Party ticket instead. This way, on the day of the Party they can spend most of the day at another Park and “hop” over to the Magic Kingdom at 4pm without needing to use a Park Hopper ticket."

Is the above statement correct and if it is does it then mean I can go to AK in the morning and then gain entrance to MK in the evening with my base ticket with the required the other Party ticket and if so will they take another day of my base ticket for essentially.hopping that day,

TIA

We are planning on going to HS in the morning, taking a break, and then heading to the party at 4 pm. We are not buying park hoppers this trip, so essentially this day we will be "hopping". :thumbsup2

December 16th is my first time going to Disney at Christmas! I am so excited (it is a surprise for our girls. I can't wait till they figure it out). I am also using this time to celebrate my 40th birthday (it was at the end of Sept., so I am as old as Magic Kingdom!):)
My questions is this: Do they have photo pass photographers durinng the party? I am debating if I should buy the photo CD. We are only going to be at disney for a long weekend (husband is a teacher and can't take more time off).
Thanks for your help.
Lori

If you are only planning on using photo pass for the party buying the cd might be a waste. We did the party last week and only waited for the dwarves....the lines were too long. We got in line at 6:20 pm and finally got to meet them after 7:45

The bathroom by the little playland, by Splash Mountain exit?

I wanted to ask again. Are the dwarfs by the bathroom by the Splash Mountain exit? The one near the little playland?

We will definitely get in line early, by 5:45.

Question: we'll be doing our first MVMCP on Dec. 16. We'll be in the park all day. I'm curious - do most people know they can come at 4:00, or just folks fairly knowledgeable like all of you? Do most of the ticketholders arrive at 4 or at 7, or gradually over the three hours? Just wondering when the crowd level will change. Thanks!

WE were there on 11/15 and there were lots of people arriving at 4:00 pm. Hotel guests are told they can enter at 4. I think the word is "out".

We do this all the time. The day of the party typically has low-ish crowd levels. Just try to be off into another area part of the park (away from Main Street) after 4 and you'll be fine.

We are going to the party on 12/11 and have ADR at 1900 PF at 4:50. This will be our only opportunity to do this dinner...should I cancel it? I have a 6 year old daughter and we are doing all of the other princess meals.

I wouldn't cancel it. You should still be able to get to the party by 7 and you will still capture a lot of great memories at the Character Dinner.

That is the day we are going to (MVMCP not 1900PF ;)) I am hoping it is going to be a great party!

I don't understand... why would you cancel? Just because you can get in the park at 4 doesn't mean you have to. The party doesn't start until 7. You should still get there before 7.

We leave exactly two weeks from today too!!:banana::banana: hoping to hit EPCOT for a couple of hours before they close!
I think we are going to hit DTD. Then a nap before the party. I cant wait I am organizing things already and the suitcase is out!!!!:santa::santa::santa:
If you see me say hi, I have pretty short hair and I am fairly tall I will have a green patterned cross body bag and with my DH who is about my height.

Just know going into it that this place is bad about seating people late. That said though, I think 4:50 makes you one of the earliest seatings. I would make sure you are at the entrance to the doors to the restaurant area EARLY so you can be one of the first seated. I'd probably try to be there around 4:15. That line will back up quickly as they get close to opening time. Not sure what time they open, but I'm thinking about 4:30 or 4:45. As long as you are seated quickly, you stand a good chance of getting to the party on time.

I agree - when I checked into POP, I got talking with the CM behind the desk saying I was excited about attending my first MVMCP and he made me aware I could enter at 4pm, (but I already knew that from The DIS :goodvibes )

Will do, you too!! I have short blonde hair, and DH has NO hair :rotfl: We'll be with my two sons, one (18yo) has dark hair, 6'2", and the other (21 yo) has dark blonde hair and around 5'10". We'll be with DH's parents too, they both have silver hair. :goodvibes I think we'll probably be going to DTD the day of the party too and maybe pick up the boys some T-shirts for the party. The in laws aren't going to get in until around noonish (they live in FL), so we don't want to go too far and be able to get back to the resort easily when they get in (we're staying at OKW)
