My 8 yr old son is REALLY excited about room service. (OMG, I apologize for this stupid question...) Does room service serve Popcorn and Milk?

:Pinkbounc OK TAKE ME TO THE LOONEY BIN! I'M TOO NUTS ABOUT THIS!

you can order popcorn in bags but there is a $1.50 surcharge. My kids loved room service too! they are 9 and 11. I just made sure that when they ordered that they gave the room service attendendant a dollar or two tip.

I'm losing it I'll tell ya...but I had to ask..he is just so excited with the thought..
Hey, for 1.50 a day for him to be happy..no problem!

Thanks, they'll love the Mickey Bars as well!

but it's my 8 yr old who's dying for Room Service...

He wants Popcorn and Milk....his brother wants pizza and lemonade!

I want everything! LOL

you can see the room service menu at dave's site: dcltribute.com or castawayclubdotcom

My sons ordered cookies everynight - I can tell you they thought the pizza ordered from room service was gross. I never ate pizza at Pinnochio's but they liked it from there. The fruit and cheese plate is very nice in the late afternoon and the pastry is good in the morning. Many people on the boards suggest ordering coffee at night and it stays warm until the morning. I liked my early morning walks up to deck 9 myself. Back to the cookies - they liked the oatmeal raisin better than the chocolate chip - just their opinion. Probably because I never make oatmeal raisin at home.

Oatmeal raisin cookies.... YUM!!!

Are they fresh baked? I may just have cookies for breakfast every day!

We've always ordered big island cookies and hot tea before bed every night. We love the tea selections and it makes us feel like royalty to be "served" in that way. And during the day it's great to be able to come back and relax in your cabin and enjoy a "snack" at anytime. I love most of the DCL room service menu but must admit the pizza is better up on the top deck and the chicken tenders are not to be missed....absolutely, positively YUMMY!

The All Hands On Deck Cheese plate is terrific. On our cruise, we ordered that every single night.

The Cheese Platter will get our nod and the kids, well they think they'll be waking up at 3 a.m. to order pizzas and cookies!

20 days and counting!

I've noticed that some people are talking about ordering the ice cream mickey bars from room service, am I just not looking well enough? I don't see them on the menu. are there other things that you can order as well that aren't on the official menu?

Not to HIJACK your thread or anything, but could some one tell me the basic time frame for ordering room service, Does it take 10 minutes, an hour? Just curious.... :flower:

We have ordered room service several times on two different cruises. We were always told it would take 30 minutes on the phone, but they showed up much sooner--often within 10 minutes. For breakfast, you order by specifying a delivery time the night before. They are very good at meeting your requested time.

The time it takes to get to you also depends on what time of day you order and what you order. My kids ordered everynight at midnight after we dragged them from the clubs. My older DS ordered and hamburger, fries and Mickey Bar every single night and I loved the soup. At midnight you would often get a busy signal when calling because it is their busiest time of day. It usually took 20 - 30 minutes to get to us. If you order at a different time of day sometime the wait is less.

Mickey Bars aren't on the menu but I learned from here to ask and then never blinked. Got them no problem. I also would ask for a small bowl of chips because we were ordering sandwiches mainly because the kids wanted the chips. This way we didn't waste the sandwich. The menu also only lists the tomato soup but the newer menu has chicken noodle also. Also on the newer menu is fuit bowl, peperoni pizza and oatmeal cookies. Other than that everything else is the same.

I'm also curious if there are other secret things people have been able to order other than Mickey Bars.

We discovered on our last trip that you can get this in the Cadillac lounge also (no charge). Once we discovered it, we went there every evening for cocktails and cheese.
