It really doesn't matter. The drill takes about 15 minutes and then you can get on with your cruise. I know people say that it's better to be inside than out, but IMHO it's just something that people worry about without good reason. I've been inside and out, port and starboard, but the drill has never had any kind of impact, positive or negative, on any of our trips. I've been in Animator's Palate when the air is off and wished I was outside. Either way, it's a very, very small portion of the trip and it's over before you know it. The worst part about it is that the bars close a half-hour before the drill, but with careful planning, you can overcome that problem.
