I didn't realize until reading through the forums that the muster drills were back. My mom had knee surgery recently and can't stand for long periods of time yet (she had hoped to be more along by now...but life happens). Can anyone speak to who we should ask about her being able to sit for the drill? Should I just stop by guest services or show up at the drill location early?

After various ankle surgeries we were able to sit during the muster drills. No problem. Fill out the “Special Needs” form stating mobility conditions. This will alert the crew to your mom’s needs. Visit guest services to make sure your form was registered. One thing that helps is to preposition your party prior to the drill. This will avoid the confusion and traffic when they sound the alarm. And remember, passengers with mobility issues can and should use the elevators during the drill. Safer than crowded stairways.

As @happycamper47 mentioned, some muster stations are in places where you sit. If you know your stateroom, you can look it up here to see where your muster station is:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...JZ-yFsb4U1KPZUd3AC8RN-kl8/htmlview?fs=e&s=cl# (look for Assembly location). Anything that's a restaurant or a theater would likely have seating. Anything 'on deck' would be standing.

As others said, if you're concerned you can fill out the special needs form and/or talk to CMs about it, they can help accommodate you/your party.
