Hi everyone,

Taking my Mom to Disney for the first time. We will be in Epcot one day. So many yummy choices for holiday kitchens. What are some of your favorite holiday treats at Epcot? Like if you could only pick two or three what are your must haves?

Thank you!!’

I really liked the Pork Schnitzel & the Gluhwein wine from the Bavaria holiday kitchen.

We enjoyed most everything we ate, but our absolute favorite was the chicken skewers with peanut sauce at the China booth. They were delicious! I also loved the salmon napoleon from France, but it was very small for the price. The hot chocolate martini there was also really good. The other stand out was the scallops at the Canada booth. I was actually surprised at how well they were cooked and the entire dish was just delicious. The catfish dish at the American pavilion was really good, but the tiny little portion of catfish we got was ridiculous. My husband and just looked at it and started laughing. Still, it was tasty.

Things we've had in the past and really enjoyed but were too full for this year are the cheese fondue from Bavaria and the pastrami sandwich from L'Chaim.

Yes, I agree about Germany being good. And I can't remember for sure, but I think that they were the ones with the bread bowl fondue and the linzer cookie. Those were excellent as well.

I know it's not what you were asking, but I discovered that I really do NOT like roasted chestnuts...
I will never forget the first time I tried them at a Christmas festival in a small town in TN years ago. I was so excited to finally try some. Both my husband and I hated them! They were just god-awful. We threw them in the trash. I don't know if we got a bad batch or what, because we've never wanted to try them again to see if they were any better. Years later we were in Italy during the Christmas season. It seemed as if they were selling them on every corner of every town we visited. They smelled so good, but we still couldn't be persuaded to try even one.

We definitely skip them at Epcot!

Germany takes the crown this year. Bread bowl and Linzer cookie to die for!
